Republicans,
I've been anti-Trump for 7 years after supporting him from 2016 - 2019.
Whether you've been off the Trump train longer than me, as long, or stopped supporting him TONIGHT, let us unite and turn the page from this cretin. Make the GOP great again -- abandon Trump.

It is not Watergate. 1974 was a House wave with a small Senate echo. 49 House seats, 4 Senate seats.
The Senate loss, if we call it 8 seats with Alaska, is 1994 and 1986. The House, if it settles near 250, is 2018.
Neither number alone is a record. Together they are. A Senate loss of 8 and a House loss of 35 or more on the same night has happened twice since the WWII, in 1946 and 1958. No one today voted in either of those elections.
The president’s party has not been beaten like this in both chambers at once in 68 years.

Imagine how bad this would've gone if not for all the redistricting that TRUMP demanded. Thank Lemmy we did that!🤪

Right-wing internet weirdos who think it's healthy to do "akshually, Darth Vader was the good guy" should consider the trajectory of Jonathan Last since he wrote a column-length case for the Empire.

This is always good to remember. The GOP wasn’t “dying” before Trump showed up; that’s a nationalist populist lie that we’ve been paying for for over a decade.
US conservatism lead us to the biggest margins of victory since Herbert Hoover was President. Then Trump got 44% of the GOP to believe we were losing, and here we are.

The Republican Party in 2016:

• U.S. House Seats: 247
• State Legislative Chambers: 68
• State Governors: 31

Dummymander moment: Democrats are going to win 10/14 congressional districts in North Carolina on map that was drawn to be 11-3 Republican.

Calling it a night. One left wing party crushed another. We don't have a single conservative trifecta in this country. But the good news is we didn't have one before today either. I didnt want this result and tried to warn about it for 18 months, but now that's it's here, there is a chance for creative destruction to finally build the right movement we never had and certainly don't have now.

I just sent this out to clients. @realDonaldTrump is solely responsible for this.

Oh man that POS is going to sell out his supporters so hard.
Trump tells @DashaBurns on POLITICO's livestream that he has spoken to Democratic leaders in the last 20 minutes and says he's eager to do deals with them. Says he doesn't want to spend his last two years vetoing everything.

Yep.
Am I disgusted? Sure am. But there's nothing left to do at this point: nationalreview.com/2026/11/t…

Our country could use a revival of conservatism -- genuine conservatism, not the vulgar nationalism and clownish populism that have been visited on us, and that erstwhile conservatives have appeased, excused, aided, and abetted.
