As #WeekWithoutDriving comes to a close, keep the momentum going by finding more opportunities to make public transit a part of your everyday life.
Whether it’s your daily commute, a weekend outing, or your next trip across the region, every ride is one more chance to leave the car behind and experience how easy it can be to let Metro do the driving instead.
Are you passionate about transportation planning issues? Apply to serve on the Transportation Planning Board's Community Advisory Committee. CAC is a great way to learn, connect & provide input to decision-makers in the DMV. bit.ly/3VkLqsr

Starting off #WeekWithoutDriving on the orange line. It’s great to see the array of people taking alternative forms of transportation and being car free!
DC offers several options of transportation that can get you wherever you need to be. I encourage you to join the cause this week and go car free!
Did you know your commute can help make a difference? During National #WeekWithoutDriving, Oct. 1–8, commit to going car-free or car-light and try getting to work with Metro, instead! Use this week as an opportunity to explore an alternative commute, while standing in solidarity with those who do not or cannot drive. Support more accessible transportation for everyone by taking the pledge today!
Extreme heat strains our regional transit system, reducing service reliability. Let's learn together about these impacts and seek remedies that regional partners can take to beat the effect of extreme heat. bit.ly/4hgArsv #BeattheHeat
In partnership with COG and WMATA, TPB accepted the Honorable Mention for Excellence in MPO Coordination and Partnership Award for the DMVMoves initiative. This award highlights what's possible when we think regionally and act locally. Thanks to our dedicated DMVMoves Task Force, advisory groups, and working groups, the region came together to develop the DMVMoves Plan and is now working on implementation steps to achieve the vision of an integrated, world-class transit system. #DMVMoves #Regionalism
