‘For years, the Duchess of Sussex’s estrangement from her father was held up as evidence that she lacked the empathy she laid claim to. Some of the people who insisted Meghan owed Thomas Markle a reconciliation might now ask themselves what made them so sure. He is being investigated over alleged possession of child sexual abuse images (and denies any wrongdoing). The latest reports suggest that his son and Meghan’s half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr, is now “a person of interest” in their enquiries.
On Tuesday, Meghan is due in Brussels with Harry to open an exhibition commemorating children who died after suffering harm on social media. It’s a longstanding engagement and will be her first public appearance since the allegations surfaced. As Jennie Bond writes in her column today, it takes guts for Meghan to keep her engagement in Brussels at a time when she could understandably have kept a low profile.
Meghan deserves our respect - she clearly feels the work of protecting children online is more important than ever. And as Jennie argues, she deserves support from the rest of the Royal Family, who should use this moment to reach out to her.’

The Royal family using the British press as usual, running around trying to sell ridiculous excuses about how they didn't know anything about Thomas Markle and don't know where the original letter is or who was the Royal police officer who told Meghan to do nothing.
Charles Spencer said the British press is practically nothing but the Royal family mouth pieces. His words are very very on the spot.

So how did that go? The Met took it upon themselves to bypass the usual protocol for contacting royals via their press office. When Meghan was sent white powder, we were told that KP handled ALL correspondence addressed to her. Now they handed the letter to an unknown bodyguard?

The “staff” did not submit a bullying complaint- Knauf did “on their behalf” - there was no agenda to resolve and the “complaint” was not shared. There have been actual bullying reported by the media specifically involving the current monarch where no action was taken.

Can we talk about what Meghan Sussex was ACTUALLY going through when she learned about those disturbing allegations against her father? Because some of you are acting like she had nothing else happening in her life! 🙄
Let's remember the timeline.
2018–2019: Meghan was newly married, adjusting to life as a royal, pregnant with her first child, and facing relentless negative media coverage.
Then she's reportedly shown a letter containing horrifying, UNPROVEN allegations against her own father, written by his ex-wife.
Imagine trying to process THAT while preparing to become a mother!
And according to Meghan's account, she was told the police were handling the matter.
Then life kept happening!
She gave birth to Archie. She later revealed that her mental health had deteriorated so badly during her time as a working royal that she experienced suicidal thoughts and felt she wasn't receiving the support she needed.
2020: Harry and Meghan stepped back from royal duties, moved across the world, and faced the COVID pandemic while navigating the loss of their royal security arrangements and concerns about their family's safety.
She suffered a miscarriage.
2021: She gave birth to Lilibet, continued raising two young children, and worked to build a new life outside the monarchy.
And through the following years, she continued her charitable work, launched projects, built businesses, and dealt with ongoing public scrutiny.
BUT APPARENTLY, THROUGH ALL OF THAT, SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE PERSONALLY MANAGING A POLICE INVESTIGATION INTO HER FATHER?!
An investigation she reportedly believed was already being handled by law enforcement!
She didn't write the allegations. She didn't witness the alleged crimes. She wasn't the investigating officer.
And she certainly wasn't obligated to broadcast unproven accusations about her father to the entire world!
SHE WAS A NEW WIFE, AN EXPECTANT MOTHER, THEN A MOTHER OF TWO, TRYING TO PROTECT HER OWN MENTAL HEALTH AND FAMILY!
Now, years later, renewed allegations have brought the whole situation back into public view.
And somehow, instead of questioning the authorities' handling of the original letter, people want to blame MEGHAN for not doing their job?!
WHERE IS THE COMPASSION? WHERE IS THE COMMON SENSE?
The allegations against Thomas Markle Sr. remain unproven, and he denies them.
STOP HOLDING MEGHAN RESPONSIBLE FOR EVERYONE ELSE'S ACTIONS!
