At least 11 states have enacted laws to restrict the use of PFAs in apparel, cleaning products, cookware, cosmetics and menstrual products. Since 2007, 30 states have approved 155 PFA policies.

Artificial turf is one of the products that sheds PFAS. If your city, county, or state hasn’t adopted regulations yet, contact your elected officials. Artificial turf is plastic carpet, a product of the fossil fuel industry. Stop trusting the industry to regulate itself.

sciencedirect.com/science/ar… not sure who's left on Sci Twitter, but our paper on in vitro toxicity from artificial turf materials is out in ETAP! we found some striking differences between weathered and non-weathered samples, and hope to unveil in vivo and exposure angles soon :-)
