Margarita Carmen Cansino was born on October 17, 1918 in Brooklyn. When she became an actress, she given a name that would become synonymous with beauty… Rita Hayworth.
I would love to see the timeline absolutely FULL of Rita Hayworth movies, gifs, and photos today. She absolutely deserves the honor.

THEY WERE HERE BEFORE US.
Before the roads.
Before the buildings.
Before the chainsaws.
There were forests here.
There were quiet trails.
There were animals raising their young, searching for food, and simply living.
They never asked us to share their home.
We took it anyway.

It took tens of thousands of years for nature to create this distinct species of wolves, now on the brink of extinction
And with a mere signing of an order to shoot them and with a smile on his face Trump can wipe them of the face of the Earth forever

Los lobos mexicanos NO representan una amenaza real para la industria ganadera. Solo 0.5% de las pérdidas de ganado son causadas por carnívoros nativos; hechos, no mitos!

The American President just signed an Executive Order enabling ranchers to shoot and poison the very last wolves in America.
Wolves in America number around 0.5% of their original population, and they are of course vital to the health of landscapes.

The gates close. The crowds disappear. The photographs have been taken and the day out is over.
But the animals remain.
For humans, a zoo or aquarium might be a few hours of entertainment. For the animals confined there, it's their entire world.
They don't get to leave when the doors close. Tomorrow, the gates will open again. New visitors will arrive. And they will still be there - behind the same glass, fences and barriers.
Day after day. Year after year. For an entire lifetime.
We shouldn't measure captivity by the experience it gives visitors, but by what it takes away from the individuals who can never see the wild homes they were destined to explore and navigate.
Animals deserve more than a lifetime on display. They deserve freedom.
