And last week I saw HAKAWATIS @The_Globe brilliantly written by @hannykha & beautifully directed by @poojghai who allow us to see Arab women of power, strength, humanity & a whole ton of humour command the stage, whilst making us feel like we are one of their friends joining in
Huge congratulations to the brilliant actors @couscoussista @laura_a_hanna @laLailaAlj @houdaechouafni #alaahabib and to composer/musician extraordinaire Kareem Samara ❤️
It’s the last day to catch BAGHDADDY @royalcourt
Saw it twice in a week & still wept & laughed in equal measure.
Powerfully written by @idiotsyncratic (who is just incredible at playing a child, my god), capturing something deeply personal and yet hugely resonant with so many

With @parditti ‘s astonishing performance making me want to claw back through time to hug my Dede and Nene.
@NoofOusellam is both hysterical & terrifying, (with dance moves to boot!). His, Hayat Kamille and Souad Faress’s versatility is just brilliant & so passionate
Huge thank you to @mena_arts_uk for their brilliant Q&A with Jasmine led by @LannaJoffrey ❤️

Thank you, Allan! So glad you enjoyed it
Very much enjoyed @StellarQuines production of Sister Radio by Sara Shaarawi @traversetheatre this afternoon. Great performances by Lana Joffrey and Nalân Burgess as two Iranian sisters sharing an Edinburgh flat and a life of passion, betrayal, silence and ultimate forgiveness.
