Entered $AZTEC here for a multi day hold
Privacy remains an important and popular narrative + the team has a big announcement coming in 48 hours. This seems like a good catalyst for repricing upwards.
Even when broader macro looks bad there are always cryptocurrencies that outperform eg PHA's 100% pump last week. I think Aztec could be one of these.
I also like that it is showing strength today on a market wide red day.
Think $AZTEC is interesting here:
- small cap forgotten privacy play with good fundamentals, we saw ZEC and ZAMA play out.
- Aztec pitched zkPassport's private KYC to the SEC in July, and last week Peirce publicly argued KYC should work exactly that way. WLD ran on this, but Aztec is a pretty cheap bet.
- reclaim of 1st week listing candle lows on volume
- best and only proxy (even mentioned) to Vitaliks new book
- news announcement incoming sub 48h, likely around token or utility that doesn’t look priced in to me

Trading reflections for September
Primarily I am a perps trader. Overall for me it was a choppy first half of the month when most of crypto went sideways.
My biggest mistake was trying to short the 'fed looks to do multiple rate hikes in 2026' news on FOMC day which I took a 5 fig loss on (I thought the market would tank like in 2022). After taking the l on the shorts I took this as a lesson and flipped my bias to bullish after in the following days.
My biggest perp win for the month was a multi day Zama trade that I took as a ZEC beta play. It still looks strong to me and I've scalped it intraday multiple times the past few weeks.
Going forward for Q4 I think its a good idea to keep an eye on altcoins with strong narratives and catalysts. AI, tokenisation, privacy and stock memecoins seem to be the strongest sectors at the moment.
If the broader market didn't dump on clarity act failure, rate hike and war fud I don't think there's much that will get in the way of this altcoin momentum. That said there's not enough liquidity to pump everything so you're better off concentrating your bets into the ones you have highest conviction on.
I am bullish on Q4 and think we have some great rallies ahead of us.
U.S. AND IRAN EXPLORE PHASED HORMUZ DEAL
U.S. and Iranian negotiators are discussing a phased agreement to end the conflict, Reuters reports.
The potential first step would see Iran reopen the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for Washington lifting its economic blockade, potentially alongside access to frozen Iranian assets.
The main obstacle remains sequencing: neither side wants to surrender its leverage first, leaving negotiations fragile.

The unlock was scheduled to take place at some point in the next 24 hours. Would make sense for the team to have some sort of plan for this.

$AI is much more than just an Inu.
LONG does around a quarter of all launch volume on Robinhood Chain and there is nothing to buy for it.
There are no plans to launch a native token for LONG.
So the fees had to land somewhere and they land on $AI.
There are three ways this happens:
Tokens that launch paired to $AI route 0.5% of every trade into open market $AI buys. $SIT and $AGI already do this. Every new launch in AI pairing mode is another bid that doesn't go away.
Tokens paired to a stock feed protocol fees and those fees buy back qualifying tokens. $AI is by far the biggest name on that list.
The $AI / $NVDA pool works in favor as well. Buys pay the fee in NVDA and 80% of it goes into the Community Vault. Sells pay the fee in $AI, half burned and half locked. The vault only goes up and the float only goes down.
The numbers only move one way. Around $3m of supply is burned already. The vault grew 7x in the last 30 days.
$AI is the only liquid way to be long every launch that ships on LONG.
ethereum:0xa12cc123ba206d4031d1c7f6223d1c2ec249f4f3 could be an interesting coin to watch.

Great list of coins from Sherpa to keep an eye on, the first 4 are good ones to trade in both directions based on any developments with the clarity act (right now it seems unlikely that it will pass but you never know 100%). Best to wait for confirmation of news.

$MARSCOIN - first Binance spot listing of a meme in a year in excellent market conditions. Holders receive tokenised spacex stock. Good narrative on BSC chain. Could run like Pnut and Act ran in 2024. (I’m in since 40 mill market cap)
$USELESS - leading memecoin of this cycle with strong volume, @theunipcs comeback arc.
$CHIP - 2026 AI coin listed on all major exchanges. Hungry team that seem to be hitting a lot of popular narratives at once with their coin (a protocol that finances AI infrastructure by letting GPU operators tokenise hardware as collateral and borrow against it).
Binance smart chain perp coins also could potentially run this weekend eg TUT but these are very low cap and super volatile.

I posted this thesis on marscoin-4:native there a week ago prior to Binance adding perps - now that Binance have added perps for it I think its only a matter of time until they add spot too.
