Another sign Hochul is destroying New York. She has taken NY off a cliff. She will continue to graduate illiterates.
.@KathyHochul and Albany just killed the Regents exam requirement.
Starting in 2028, kids can graduate without passing a single standardized test, one of the only real checks we have on whether students are actually learning what they need to know.
Now districts will be able to set their own standards and grade their own students. That means less accountability and a greater chance that kids get pushed through the system without being prepared for college, a career, or life after graduation.
That should concern every parent in New York.
We already spend about $41,000 per student. Our kids deserve better than politicians lowering expectations and pretending the problem is solved.
If Kathy Hochul really cared about our kids, she would be fighting to make our schools better, not making it easier to hide when they fail them.

Every time you pay your electric bill, Albany takes a cut and funnels it into NYSERDA’s Climate Investment Account.
Now, including utility escrow accounts, nearly $3 BILLION of ratepayer money is sitting there, $2.05 billion at NYSERDA and another $770 million in utility escrow.
Meanwhile, NYSERDA spent $83.1 million on salaries and benefits in a single year.
That’s roughly $400 for every New York ratepayer sitting in these accounts while families struggle with some of the highest energy costs in America.
Enough.
I’m demanding a full, independent forensic audit of these funds, every dollar collected, every dollar spent, every contract, every payroll expense, and every dollar still sitting in an account.
Then return any unnecessary surplus to the people who paid it.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has reportedly admitted in closed-door conversations that Iran is in a desperate situation, saying U.S. economic pressure is working, the currency is collapsing, inflation is high, money is running out and the regime is increasingly struggling to control the population.
Ghalibaf is quoted as making an extraordinary admission while discussing the regime’s financial crisis: “We all stole billions, but we can no longer keep the people under control for much longer.”
According to an exclusive Channel 14 report citing sources close to Ghalibaf, he reached the conclusion after discussions with Iran’s central bank governor, government ministers and Revolutionary Guards officials that “Iran cannot survive like this much longer.” He reportedly believes damage from the war is now almost impossible to repair.
According to the sources, Ghalibaf believes Iran has effectively lost control of the Strait of Hormuz and has almost no meaningful bargaining chips left against Washington. He reportedly hopes any renewed confrontation would come closer to the U.S. midterm elections, calculating that Donald Trump could lose control of Congress, become politically weaker and eventually be forced back to negotiations.

...and a 7-Eleven LOCKED THE DOORS on him and people stood around FILMING him instead of helping.
He had to TEXT 911 by himself, alone.
Yes, you read that right... ZERO bystanders helped him and he had doors locked in his face while he was bleeding to DE*TH!!!
His name is Matthew Lanske, he's a construction worker in Seattle.
Last Saturday night, he and his friends had just finished dinner in Belltown when they walked into one of those "street takeovers."
His family says a man and two women tried to rob one of Matthew's friends at gunpoint.
Matthew tried to stop the gunman and for his trouble, he was SH0T THREE TIMES.
Twice in the stomach and a third bullet shattered his pelvis and tore through a major artery.
He should have passed away right there on the sidewalk.
Instead, this man got up and WALKED two blocks while bleeding out.
He was begging for people to help him, no one did.
He made it to a 7-Eleven and they locked the doors in his face:
Later he said he told his mother:
"Mom, they wouldn't let me in. They locked the doors. I begged them to let me, and there was so much blood coming out of my stomach, I thought I was going to die."
His mother's said that he begged BYSTANDERS for help and instead... they filmed him:
"While my son was fighting for his life, people were standing around filming him, taking pictures instead of helping him."
So Matthew sat down on the ground, alone, and did the only thing left.
He texted 911 and then he texted his girlfriend.
Police eventually found him... he has spent 2 days on life support.
He has had two surgeries so far and has two more to go.
It'll be MONTHS before he can work again.
Please pray for Matthew... you won't hear his story in the mainstream media, it doesn't fit the narrative.

Your electric bill is hiding things and so is the Governor.
New York pays 29.49 cents per kilowatt-hour. Texas and Florida pay about half that.
That's a result of years of policy choices in Albany.
Look at where your money actually goes: 43% pays for the wires and poles that bring power to your house. Fair enough.
But another 14% is a hidden property tax on utility equipment, it's baked into your bill, but you'll never see it listed anywhere.
Add in state mandates, surcharges, and sales tax, and by Con Edison's own numbers, taxes and fees eat up nearly a third of what you pay every month.
You're paying for the power. You're also quietly paying Albany's tax bill.
Now @GovKathyHochul wants to hand you a one-time $200 check, 50 days before an election.
It's nice. It's also nowhere near enough. It doesn't touch the hidden tax. It doesn't lower your delivery costs. It doesn't fix New York's reliance on natural gas, which sends prices soaring every winter.
New Yorkers don't need a check right before Election Day. We need our bills fixed, for good.
A Massachusetts family says the state took custody of their teenage daughter after they refused to affirm her as a boy, citing their Catholic faith.
The parents allege a school counselor socially transitioned their daughter without their knowledge, then reported them to the Department of Children and Families.
Now the state has guardianship, and a restraining order prevents the teen's parents and older brother from contacting her.

I hugged families today who are still carrying the pain of September 11. I saw children who never got to know the grandparents they lost.
And I was reminded of what New Yorkers are capable of at our very best.
We showed up for strangers. We carried each other through unimaginable pain. We came together as one.
That spirit of unity is worth rekindling today.
