NVSOS @CiscoAguilar reports a decrease of 50,130 active registered voters during the month of August 2026 as compared to July 2026.  The total number of active registered voters in Nevada is 2,062,136, a decrease of (-2.37%). More info: nvsos.gov/Home/Components/Ne…

The decrease in active registered voters is largely due to list maintenance activities and often occurs ahead of the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) 90-day quiet period before an election, which prohibits routine list maintenance activities until the election is over.

The Supreme Court’s ruling today is another attempt to attack states’ constitutional right to run elections. The midterm election is less than 70 days away, and the President continues to spread lies about our elections and the security of mail ballots. cnn.com/2026/08/24/politics/…

We look forward to continued legal fights to prove that states have the right to run elections as they determine. The midterm election is less than 70 days away, and the President continues to spread lies about our elections and the security of mail ballots. It’s the voters who are getting hurt; not the politicians in Washington. While the administration creates confusion and undermines confidence in our elections, local election officials in Nevada are focused on delivering a safe, secure and accessible election in November.”

Nevada Secretary of State @CiscoAguilar released the following statement in response to the Nevada Gaming Control Board’s agreement with KalshiEX LLC on prediction markets in Nevada:
