This is for the ordinary Filipino who wants to be educated on why the Anti-Terror Law is widely opposed:
1. The definition of terrorism in the ATL is very broad and vague and that is dangerous;
2. Protests and rallies can easily be considered as terrorism by saying that it

We stand in solidarity with climate activists in the Philippines 🇵🇭 The Anti-Terror law puts climate activists and environmental defenders at risk of being tagged as terrorists. Join the digital action by posting a picture with #JunkTerrorLaw and tagging @yacaphilippines ✊✊✊

‼️STOP SCROLLING‼️
filipinos are only days away (july 9th) from losing their freedom of speech. if this bill passes, their primary rights will be taken away. filipinos need our help and there’s barely any talk about it.

👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽 Not only does the bill broaden the scope of the definition of a “terrorist,” & criminalize the right to protest/assemble, but it looks like it may apply to Filipinos in the diaspora as well (and non-Filipinos), upon entry in the Philippines...
There is a graver danger that we seem to be overlooking in the #AntiTerrorismLaw. Graver, if only for the much wider application of the provision. Section 49 of the law penalizes ALL individuals, regardless of where they are or where they’re from.
