Year 1 and 2 pupils from Sandfields Primary would like to say a huge THANK YOU to Paul Doyle for entertaining them in the library today with his comical poems and storytelling. The pupils also became poets themselves by using rhyme to complete a poem #sfpllc #NPTLibraries

It was an inspiring day at Port Talbot Library today with author @petergbell visiting us for two fabulous sessions with local school children. As well as learning lots about being a writer, the children got very creative coming up with ideas for some amazing stories.

Roedd hi’n ddiwrnod ysbrydoledig yn Llyfrgell Port Talbot heddiw gyda’r awdur plant P.G.Bell yn ymweld â ni am ddwy sesiwn wych gyda phlant ysgol lleol. Yn ogystal â dysgu llawer am fod yn awdur, daeth y plant yn greadigol iawn i feddwl am syniadau ar gyfer rhai straeon anhygoel.

Great to see Michael Sheen in Port Talbot this morning talking about how important places like local libraries are, acting as warm spaces during the current cost-of-living crisis. @NPTLibraries @BBCBreakfast @WarmWelcome_UK

Roedd hi’n wych gweld Michael Sheen ym Mhort Talbot y bore yma’n siarad am bwysigrwydd mannau fel llyfrgelloedd lleol fel llecynnau cynnes yn ystod yr argyfwng costau byw presennol. @NPTLibraries @BBCBreakfast @WarmWelcome_UK

Wedi clywed am y fenter gymdeithasol newydd a bwerir gan y gymuned? Mae'r syniad gwych hwn yn Sandfields yn helpu pobl i arbed arian a lleihau gwastraff trwy rentu eitemau defnyddiol fel driliau, golchiad jet ac eitemau defnyddiol eraill i'r gymuned yn fforddiadwy.

Heard about the new community-powered social enterprise? This great idea in Sandfields helps people save money and reduce waste by affordably renting out useful items like drills, a jet wash and other useful items to the community. #Libraryofthings @NPTLibraries
