📍New Jersey has 29 regulatory monitors around the state collecting data and keeping tabs on our air quality! These monitors track the pollutants that matter the most, known as criteria pollutants: ozone, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, lead, and fine particulate matter. EPA then uses this data to determine our state's compliance with the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS). Want to know what the air looks like in your area today? Check the Air Quality Index (AQI) on NJ DEP's Bureau of Air Monitoring webpage.

#P2Week is from Sept. 15-21 this year. We'll announce 2025 MVP2 award winners and open registration for the 2025 P2 Virtual Conference. Spread the word about pollution prevention with a t-shirt, coffee mug, or canvas bag: lnkd.in/e7mTEc9x
This year's P2 Week will be Sept 15-21 using the theme:
"40 Years of Pollution Prevention: Honoring the Past, Protecting the Future!"
The design is available on a mug, t-shirt, and more: lnkd.in/e7mTEc9x and was designed by Diana Henne-a recent graduate from @TempleUniv

ALT "As an educator, working to protect the future for the next generation is a cause dear to my heart; I chose to highlight this in the foreground of the poster with the passing from one hand to the next of the seedling to the blooming flower. With honoring the past, I was inspired by my mother’s career in pollution prevention. Some ways I chose to incorporate examples of this work in the poster were the facility switching from fossil fuel to solar energy as well as proper maintenance and disposal of chemical waste in the background of the piece."
