A great read from @stuartneville about NI crime fiction and UK publishers downplaying the Norn Irland thing.
Let’s hear your thought crime fans!
Northern Irish writers are often instructed to subdue their regionalism to sell to English audiences. It's really time to stop.

Never afraid to push the conventional boundaries of the crime fiction novel, Clare Dunkel aka Mo Hayder, will truly be missed. Our condolences to Clare’s family. ❤️
"Clare was charming, entertaining, caustic and always great company. It was a privilege to work with her and an honour to have become her friend", tributes roll in for crime writer Clare Dunkel, AKA Mo Hayder who has sadly died: bit.ly/3iVyORA

Really sad about Mo Hayder. There are very few of us crime writers with the nerve to go where she liked to be, creatively - she was a unique writer and a great loss.

Deeply saddened to hear of the death of Mo Hayder. Mo was a genuine original, who pushed at the limits of what the genre could do. To lose her so young to such a horrible disease fills me with sorrow, not least for the books she had in her head that we'll never read.

Horrible news about Mo Hayder. She was a lovely woman and an amazing writer. One of a kind. I'm so happy to have known her and, like so many others, to have had the chance to read her fabulous books.
An extraordinary talent and a huge loss to the crime fiction community. Mo Hayder’s novel should grace every reader’s bookshelf.
