New donation of around 600 horseflies to be incorporated into the @NHM_Diptera collection. All have to have accession labels and barcodes added to them, & then the data uploaded to our database @NHM_London @NHM_Digitise #taxonomy. Lovely things 🥰

40 years ago, 7 beautiful gold snuff boxes were stolen from @TempleNewsam.
They were pinched from the Chinese Drawing Room, and the culprit was never identified.
But anyway.
We’ve just found them.

Becca told whole story at one of our events a couple of years back, (what to do if six hurricanes hit your art collection in quick succession, flood the building +the emergency services can't really help). And how she built something incredibly constructive out of the aftermath.
Day to day I question if I'm doing enough to protect cultural heritage, then @IIC_ kindly uses my words and work on their Google Arts & Culture climate action page. So incredibly honored! #CollectionsEmergency #MuseumLife artsandculture.google.com/st…
