Great to be in Liverpool with 51 Dutch companies and meet @AnasSarwar. Our countries have been doing business together for centuries. We want to build on that history by connecting the maritime and aerospace industries and create opportunities that benefit both countries.

The UK has concluded that Iran was involved in the incident at the RAF base in Fairford, confirming the IRGC’s willingness to project hostile activity beyond its borders. These actions are unacceptable and must cease. We stand in full solidarity with the UK.

I had a good conversation with the new British Prime Minister @Andyburnham. The friendship between the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, as North Sea neighbours, is very strong: from trade and AI to the energy transition, and from human rights to our security and defence.
We both recognise the ongoing need to support Ukraine and the leading role the UK plays in the Coalition of the Willing. The Netherlands will also help to strengthen ties between the UK and the EU.
As NATO partners, the UK and the Netherlands are investing in (joint) defence projects and together we are preparing a mission to guarantee freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, when circumstances permit.
I look forward to continuing our cooperation with Andy Burnham. We will meet soon in London or The Hague.
