Seems the issue was a broken down njt train. Hard to blame Amtrak or Conrail for that one. Guess that’s why they made no announcements on the train or at the station.
Left 24 minutes late but the train status was still listed as on time. That’s how they keep their numbers up. Fuck you njt.
Train is finally insight 20 minutes late yet still on time. The next train is also 20 minutes late so hopefully I can get on this one.
By the way, even if departure vision says the train is late you still have to be here on time because it’s often wrong
Years ago NJT said that because we hold the doors, we delay trains, and one delayed train could throw off the entire system , But now I guess the entire system is nothing but delayed trains. And New Jersey Transit thinks that’s just fine.

As an aside. I am no longer considered dependable at work since I never know when I might stroll in. I do remember when njt was very dependable but that was before communism.
8:17 is leaving NWK at 8:20. Even with normal shitty service I would be on the subway by now. So at least 30 minutes late for me today.
They had 28 minutes for a 12 minute ride to Newark yet still not in time for the 8:13 to nyc. Just fucking pathetic. By the way, the 813 is still here just with all the doors closed.

Shocked that my 5:39 train left Newark on time but not to be disappointed… we are held up for “Conrail” track maintenance. Always a pleasure here on njt where it’s never their fault. Fuck you njt.
Interestingly, the platform seems just as crowded after the train left so if I get a seat on this train, it’ll be just dumb luck cause it’s gonna be standing room only also
Well, it was standing room only on 813 to New York. Knowing that it’s gonna take 30 minutes to get to New York, I really don’t feel like dealing with that so we’ll wait five minutes maybe for the next train. By the way there hasn’t been a train to New York for 15 minutes prior
