NJRC is honored to launch registration for the 2026 Summer Training Institute, a practical workforce training pathway offered in partnership with the New Jersey Council of County Colleges and Hudson County Community College. The 2026 Summer Training Institute will serve 400 court-involved young adults, providing industry-recognized credentials, workforce training, and pathways to employment, stability, and opportunity. The Summer Training Institute has demonstrated strong results, including a 98% completion rate and a 76% employment rate. NJRC is grateful to the @GovSherrillNJ Administration for its strong support of Second Chance training and workforce development; to @NJLaborDept Assistant Commissioner Yolanda Allen, @NJCommColleges Vice President Catherine Starghill, and @HudsonCCC President Chris Reber for their remarks; to NJRC Chaplain Reverend Allan Boyer for opening us in prayer; and to Summer Training Institute 2025 graduates Thomas Ricci, Regina Williams, and Scott Wild for sharing their powerful stories of redemption. Today, NJRC marked the opening of enrollment with 100+ participants in the 2026 Summer Training Institute, in partnership with the New Jersey Council of County Colleges and Hudson County Community College. NJRC will serve more than 400 court-involved young persons through 16 industry-recognized credential training courses, including construction, OSHA 30, forklift, scaffold, flagger, fall prevention, lockout/tagout, solar, green construction, welding, peer recovery, recovery coach, phlebotomy, CPR, Microsoft Basics, digital literacy, and CISCO. In 2025, STI served 410 participants, with a 98% completion/graduation rate and 76% employment rate. Together, we are building pathways to work, dignity, and Second Chances.
