A good reminder for us here in Denver that the entire region already being part of RTD is fundamentally a strength, not a weakness. Any move towards greater fragmentation is one that undoes the decades of work to plan, fund, and deliver transit service collectively.

NITA makes me think of ARTM (Autorité régionale de transport métropolitain/Metropolitan Regional Transportation Authority) Montréal taking over regional planning from AMT (Agence métropolitaine de transport) in 2017, allowing AMT to become RTM (and focus on operating as exo).
