Calvin Peete taught himself how to play golf at age 23.
He had 18 siblings growing up in Detroit, Michigan.
Peete won 11 times in the 1980s, third-most in that decade, including @THEPLAYERS in 1985.
Not only was Peete a trailblazer for minorities in the sport, he was one of the most accurate players in golf history.
Despite a permanently crooked elbow from a childhood accident, Peete led the TOUR in Driving Accuracy each year for 10 years (1981-1990).

This is crazy.
US Senior Amateur.
156 Players. Only 12 chose to walk.
The rest played cart golf.
This isn’t a fun round with friends. This is the highest level of senior amateur competition.
Either golf is a sport or it isn’t.

To everyone who has short, quick, poor tempo golf swings, watch this for an hour then head to the range 😂
