Yesterday we sent a warrior to a spa to relax, and another to a wild park before she starts chemo this fall. So grateful we could support them. Thank you all. But now we have 3 more who need us: 🤍 a weekend away for a newly diagnosed grandma 🤍 a trip for a stage IV warrior to make memories with her grandkids 🤍 an air fryer, books, a folding bed assist rail, soft blankets & home comforts to make staying home easier for a warrior in pain If you can donate, thank you. If not, a simple RT helps so much. Let's get these funded. 🫶 Link tutticancerwarriors.org/en/s…

#RARELIVERDISEASES MUST NOT BE LEFT BEHIND IN EUROPE’S CANCER AND TRANSPLANTATION AGENDA. 🇪🇺🎗️ OCTOBER | #LiverCancerAwarenessMonth RARE LIVER DISEASES MUST NOT BE LEFT BEHIND IN EUROPE’S CANCER AND TRANSPLANTATION AGENDA. Rare does not mean less important. And rare liver diseases do not exist in isolation. Primary Biliary Cholangitis (#PBC), Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (#PSC), Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency, autoimmune hepatitis, Wilson’s disease, haemochromatosis, biliary atresia and other rare liver conditions can lead to serious complications, including cirrhosis, liver cancer and the need for liver transplantation. The risks differ between diseases. PSC is particularly associated with cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer), while advanced liver disease caused by PBC, Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency and certain other conditions can increase the risk of hepatocellular carcinoma. 💚 EARLY DIAGNOSIS AND TIMELY TREATMENT ARE ALSO CANCER PREVENTION AND TRANSPLANTATION PREVENTION. By identifying rare liver diseases earlier, ensuring access to effective treatments and providing appropriate long-term monitoring, we can reduce preventable complications, improve quality of life and, for some patients, reduce the risk of liver cancer and the need for transplantation. 🇪🇺 EUROPE MUST CONNECT THE DOTS. The future EU Action Plan for Rare Diseases, Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan, EU4Health and European transplantation policies should not operate in separate silos. Rare diseases, cancer prevention and transplantation are interconnected healthcare priorities. We need a coordinated European approach that: 🔸 Recognises rare liver diseases within cancer prevention and transplantation strategies. 🔸 Strengthens early diagnosis, specialised care and access to innovative treatments. 🔸 Connects rare disease expertise with cancer surveillance and transplant services. 🔸 Reduces inequalities between countries and ensures equitable access to care. 🔸 Places patients and their quality of life at the centre of European health policy. A rare disease diagnosis should not become a late cancer diagnosis or an avoidable liver transplantation because opportunities for earlier intervention were missed. This October, through the European Liver Screening Tour and European Liver Screening Week, ELPA calls for stronger connections between rare diseases, liver cancer prevention and transplantation. 🇪🇺 ONE EUROPE. CONNECTED HEALTH POLICIES. EQUITABLE CARE. NO PATIENT LEFT BEHIND. 🎗️ #LiverCancerAwarenessMonth 🇪🇺 #EuropeanLiverScreeningTour #EUScreeningWeek #RareLiverDiseases #PBC #PSC #Alpha1AntitrypsinDeficiency #AutoimmuneHepatitis #LiverCancer #LiverTransplantation #EURareDiseases #EUCancerPlan #EU4Health #EuropeanHealthUnion #EarlyDiagnosis #camilosifuentes @OliverVarhelyi @hans_kluge

GM and Happy Friyay Know the signs: a new lump or thickening, skin dimpling or redness, nipple pulling in or unusual discharge, or a change in size or shape. Most changes aren’t cancer, get anything new checked. Early detection matters (MEN TOO) @tfw_nft @NGOTCW

Hello, September. 💛 This month carries a lot of awareness with it: childhood cancer, blood cancers, gynaecological and ovarian cancers, prostate cancer, thyroid and urological cancers. We put the important dates in one place so you don’t have to remember them all. And to every warrior and survivor entering a new month: we hope September brings you more good days, more people who listen, and more moments that belong to you, not to cancer. 🫶 See our 2026 Cancer Awareness Calendar.

You’ve got this!🫶💪
holy fuck as if 3 weeks went by already, this week is chemo round 5/6 i was on my ass for 2 days after the last round, couldn't get out of bed, so my dose tomorrow is reduced in hopes that i don't crash too badly. it's terrifying tho, like what if i am bedridden for a whole week or two? 😳 i know, dying from cancer is worse and i will hate myself later if i end up in that situation and i don't try now apparently i am responding very well to chemo and my nodes shrunk so hopefully there are no microscopic cancer cells left over when i get them removed and tested after chemo is done 🤞 my muscles in my legs are so fucked, i can't climb, i can hardly walk up the stairs because of how sore they feel, i try and walk everyday anyway because i know it's good to stay active and touch grass while I am nervous of this 5th round, i am also excited to get it over with and get closer to the finish line. after chemo is done, i have node surgery. this is the key step! they view them under the microscope and we will find out if all of the cancer is gone. if it's not, i will need more surgery, radiation and chemo if it's gone, i will need radiation and immunotherapy (not as toxic as chemo) fingers crossed this goes well 🤞 hope you are all excited that NFT are back!

We talk a lot about fighting cancer... but rarely about how you're actually supposed to make dinner when standing hurts, how to get out of bed when just moving is a struggle, or how you keep your space clean. paragraph.com/@tutticancerwa…

A small organ we barely think about can still have a big story. Appendix cancer is rare, and symptoms can sometimes be unclear. Listen to your body, ask questions, and don’t ignore changes that don’t feel normal for you. Learn more: tutticancerwarriors.org/en/a…
