I came here today to shut down my account. Musk is destroying health and education for decades to come. But today’s cruel announcement about Social Security access has me fuming enough to stay and post. This is my country and the country of all my fellow citizens, not his toy. 😡

DOGE needs to stop NOW! Today’s cruel move is to cut off phone service for Social Security. So the 80-year-olds and the disabled are supposed to find their way around a government website? They used to be able to go in person, but DOGE has shut down four offices in my state. 😡

Today is the feast of St Anne, mother of the Virgin Mary. In medieval art, she is often depicted teaching her little daughter to read. Medieval stained glass from Marsh Baldon, Haddon Hall in Derbyshire, All Souls, Oxford, and Kidlington, Oxfordshire.
