Very instructive meetings again today with different business groups and coalitions, principally the US Business Delegation, led by Tiffany Smith, VP of the @NFTC, and Ken Levinson, CEO of @WITA_DC, and the World Federation of Sporting Goods Industry (@WFSGI) led by Jorge Casimiro, Co-Chair of WFSGI. They shared their views on @wto reform, as well as the opportunities and challenges in the global trade environment. Businesses feel the biggest obstacle is uncertainty and noted again that this is resulting in higher costs and holding back investment. They appreciate the resilience and predictability of the global trading system but were clear that further reforms to modernize this system are imperative.

We welcome @SenRandPaul & @RonWyden's efforts to limit the confluence of tariffs and sanctions in the Graham bill. While we support efforts to hold Russia accountable, the use of secondary tariffs as sanctions impedes the multilateral actions called for elsewhere in the bill.
Thank you to Senator @RonWyden for taking a step to ensure Congress and the Administration are aligned on using tariffs. When Congress & the Administration work together towards shared objectives, businesses and consumers win.

We applaud House passage of bills reauthorizing AGOA & HELP, and call for swift consideration in the Senate.
These programs support strategic imports for U.S. manufacturers & consumers and play a critical role in strengthening ties between these countries and the United States.
