Thank you to the @NFLFoundation for their support via their Youth Football Camp Grant. This allows us to continue to offer the Des Moines TnT Football camp for FREE. Through three years of hosting this camp in Des Moines we’ve had over 1,200 kids register. Around 25% of those kids noted “No Experience” during registration. Between 55-60% of families noted their child participates in the Free & Reduced Lunch program. That all goes to say that without this camp these kids may not be able to experience learning the game of football. As many of them can’t pay the $100-$200+ that other camps charge. We also recognize campers with awards for being the Best Teammate, having the Best Attitude and being the Hardest Worker. Although not everyone gets a trophy we hope that all campers can take away the lessons beyond the X’s and O’s taught at today’s camp. Thank you to the coaches at North High School in Des Moines and the Central Iowa Chiefs for volunteering their time to impact the kids.
