#NFFC switched to a 3-4-3 on Saturday in their first win of the season in the league.
An obvious observation is that Forest had 174 pressures against Huddersfield vs. an average of 119 pressures in the previous seven games.

The reason this is probably a decent fit is that I've always thought of Forest as having a strong defensive structure and limiting space in deep areas in the defensive phase. That's what Steve Cooper ended up building his Swansea team on, whether the fan base liked it or not.

Goals won't be plentiful at either end, but Cooper had a way of keeping Swansea in the game long enough for individual quality to show. Forest have similar quality, so I can see why this is seen as a safe option. Long term though, he's still so young, it's an unknown.

No point denying it, aesthetically, the football is going to be poor. Steve Cooper isn't there to make a work of art (although he may claim to). But what he will do is make Forest stubborn, and nobody will enjoy playing them. (1/2)
