On the LAST day of the summer holiday, the DfE writes to schools and tells them their buildings are unsafe.

This is sheer gross Government incompetence. More than 100 schools are finding out their buildings are unsafe just before term starts, meaning they cannot open for pupils to get back in the classroom.
Chronic underfunding of education is leaving our school buildings unsafe and literally crumbling around pupils and staff.
When will this Government start prioritising children and their education? #ValueEducation

A good debunking of the popular myth that pay increases for public sector workers will drive inflation higher.
The education secretary and prime minister know this is not true.
Instead of playing games, @GillianKeegan needs to do her job – publish the STRB report, re-enter talks, and make a fully funded above-inflation pay offer.
Education is in crisis and this can’t wait.
