Three years ago when I was elected, I said that @TexasYRs was going to be a team player, working for the success of the Republican Party as a whole. That’s a good size portion of my job - to work for the success of the coalition and our values, regardless of how I feel about one candidate or another.
That’s still true, even if the landscape has shifted to favoring a different flavor of Republican candidate. I reserve the right to do my job and work for the success of the party with any Republican I choose regardless of factional differences within the party.
If you don’t like various aspects of the party, join the club. That’s true everywhere there are large amounts of people. But you don’t make it better by throwing hissy fits from the sidelines. You don’t show the team that you care about “the soul of the team” by telling your team they deserve to lose and allowing opposing players to pass you unimpeded.
Be the change you want to see. People don’t line up behind those criticizing from the sidelines. They line up behind the people who put in the work. They’ll fight for the people who believe what they believe in, and they’ll care about the people who show they care.
A coalition is a coalition. It’s not all about you. We get our issues worked out between Election Day and the Primary. Between the Primary and Election Day we suck it up and support the coalition.
I will never ask anyone to violate their conscience. But sometimes I think party insiders focus their conscience on too narrow a band, hyperfixating on the flaws of the individual and ignoring the impeding horde.
Redirect your focus, correct flaws in private. Be the best example you can possibly be, and don’t burn up all respect you’ve earned because you’re also burning up your opportunity to make a difference.
No matter who you are or your position within the party spectrum - your war will be better won by building bridges than burning them.

It is an honor to be elected the new Chairman of the @TexasYRs today.
The Texas Young Republicans will continue to fight for the Republican cause with new resolve, focusing on policy and principle.
I was also proud to author a Constitutional Amendment that abolishes statewide TYRF endorsements in Republican primaries. While TYRF will have strong conservative policy positions, we will be a team player in this divided environment, pushing for the success of the Republican Party as a whole.
We look forward to onboarding more young Republicans into our movement and working with our legislators to push policies that benefit Texas. We must preserve the American Dream by “planting trees whose shade our children will enjoy.” We will continue to fight to protect the unborn from murder, the children from sexualization, and the God-given rights of all Americans, but we will also begin to focus more on the future, fighting to ensure that the next generation won’t find homeownership out of reach, water scarce, and energy unaffordable.

A phenomenal and packed out party that provided diapers, wipes and formula to Houston pregnancy center and honored pro-life legend @BriscoeCain!
More than 200 young Republicans came together in Houston for TYRF's Party for Life during the Republican Party of Texas Convention.
Thanks to the generosity of our attendees, we collected diapers, formula, and other baby essentials for a local crisis pregnancy center, and TYRF was honored to present a grant to support their mission of serving mothers, babies, and families.
We were also honored to recognize Rep. @BriscoeCain for his tireless work advancing pro-life policies in Texas. Throughout his time in the Legislature, Rep. Cain has been a steadfast advocate for protecting the unborn and a leader on some of the most important pro-life victories our state has achieved.
We were also grateful to welcome newly elected RPT Chairwoman D’Rinda Randall to the event. Thank you for joining us and sharing in a night dedicated to supporting life and strengthening the Republican Party.

Had a wonderful time at this year’s @TexasGOP State Convention! Honored to serve as a delegate for the @BellCountyTXGOP in SD-24 as well as represent @BellCountyYRs and @TexasYRs at the state scale. Although there is much you can say about the type of people who attend convention, there’s no doubt that these are some of the most engaged, conservative people in the world. Can’t wait for 2028!

As a side note, I want to say how proud I am of TYRF. We had over 100 members who served as delegates and over 200 people at our Party for Life Diaper Drive Event. This is quite impressive for a group who experienced such a major splinter just a few short years ago. Our group is ready to elect Republicans up and down the ballot in November!
