Back in the 1960s, founder Sherman Adams sketched out a Loon with four peaks of lift-served skiing.
Now, we’ve submitted a plan to fulfill his vision.
The proposal outlines a new mountain peak with 280 acres of new terrain.

Loon Mountain Resort has unveiled Black Ridge, a 272-acre expansion of expert-only, in-bounds tree-skiing off North Peak that is slated to open in winter 2027-2028.

We’ve officially broken ground on our new Outdoor Adventure Zone! With the 18-hole mini golf course built and foundation work now underway, we’re setting the stage for a whole new way to play in the Valley.
Targeting Spring 2027, the Outdoor Adventure Zone will bring mini golf, a larger-than-life adventure maze, a three-tier aerial adventure course, indoor and outdoor tyke areas, and a brand-new Adventure & Nordic Center to the heart of Waterville Valley.
And we’re bringing you along for the build.

Crews recently took to the air to deliver concrete for the new Snowdon Quad tower foundations, bringing a major piece of the project into place.
The new fixed-grip quad is taking shape for the 2026-27 winter season as part of the $25 million in capital improvements underway.
