A proud moment for NEEPCO!
Following the flash flood on 24 June 2026, which severely affected all three generating units of Panyor Lower Hydro Power Station (PLHPS), the NEEPCO team took up the challenging task of restoring the damaged units.
With dedication, hard work and teamwork, all three units were successfully restored:
• Unit-2: Restored on 25th August 2026.
• Unit-3: Restored on 02nd September 2026.
• Unit-1: Restored on 23rd October 2026 after extensive repair and replacement works.
The successful synchronization of Unit-1 with the grid at 01:04 hours on 24 October 2026 marked the restoration of all three generating units, bringing the post-flood restoration work to a successful conclusion.
A proud achievement made possible by the dedication and hard work of the entire team, led by Shri Munin Choudhury, Head of Plant, Shri Sundar Moni Mohan, DGM (Tech), and Shri Tarh Naga, DGM (Tech), along with all the engineers and staff involved in the restoration work.
