Our rivers and uplands are beautiful year-round, but winter brings extra risks. If you’re walking near the River Kent, follow the EA’s advice to stay safe.
Cold weather can make riverside paths slippery ❄️ Take extra care when walking, running or cycling along them and stick to the edge furthest from the water. If you see someone struggling in the water, remember to: 📞 Call 🗣️ Tell 🛟 Throw #RespectTheWater this winter.

Psst! Pumpkins are a treat for birds but can be harmful to hedgehogs 🦔🎃 Keep them high up out of reach and compost any leftovers to protect our garden wildlife.

Great news from Roudsea Woods & Mosses NNR where we counted our highest ever numbers of Rosy Marsh Moth. This is one of the UK’s rarest moths & Roudsea is the only known English site for the species. This project is funded by @NaturalEngland's #SpeciesRecoveryProgramme
