Proud of our officers @PeelPolice — especially our CIRT teams at 22 Division — for taking a loaded unauthorized firearm off the streets of Brampton. Our officers around all divisions continue to do great work.
Strong leadership and teamwork keeping our community safe.

As part of the command overseeing our CIRT team, I want to echo the prev tweets while thanking our community & all levels of gov't for their cont'd support.
Our officers worked tirelessly to take dangerous drugs/a firearm off our streets — making our neighbourhoods safer for all
Through this Project Winner operation, @PeelPolice have taken more than $1 million worth of dangerous drugs off our streets — including crystal meth, cocaine, fentanyl, and other highly addictive substances that destroy lives and families. They also seized a loaded handgun with an extended magazine and over 1,000 rounds of ammunition.
Let’s be clear: this is not just about drugs or guns — it’s about saving lives. Every gram of fentanyl taken out of circulation represents a potential overdose prevented. Every illegal gun seized is a tragedy that never happens.

Our Community Intervention and Response Team (CIRT) in action! Project Winner was a drug trafficking investigation resulting in significant results:
•Over $1M in illicit drugs, including cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine
•A loaded handgun and 1000 rounds of ammunition
Illegal drugs and guns have no place in our communities. @PeelPolice will continue to crack down on this kind of dangerous behaviour and hold those responsible accountable.
Great work from our officers at 22 Divsion CIRT!

At @PeelPolice, more than 100 of our members have served — or continue to serve — in the military. That shared spirit of service reflects a legacy of courage, duty, and commitment.
This morning, I attended the Sunrise Service at Meadowvale Cemetery Chapel in Mississauga, and later joined the City of Brampton’s Remembrance Day ceremony with Royal Canadian Legion Branches 15 and 609.
Today, we honour the Canadians who made the ultimate sacrifice — and all who continue to serve our country and communities with pride.

The 9.9% increase will enhance community safety and well-being across the region today and in the future.

Their continued commitment to Guruji’s path of Seva and to supporting the communities we serve is truly inspiring.
Last night, @SevaFoodBank recognized the Peel Police Service Board with their Founders Award at their annual Gala, a celebration of years of shared service and collaboration. Vice-Chair @SumeetaKohli accepted the award on behalf of the Board.

Community safety issues don’t exist in isolation and neither does our response.
Our 2nd Annual Community Partner Engagement Day brought together community leaders to collaborate on how and where to implement change. Aligned with our Community Safety and Well-being strategy, we believe the future of policing is built with the community.
So thankful to the over 50 community partner organizations, elected officials and Peel Police Service Board for their attendance today - just another way @PeelPolice is policing differently.

✅Launching a dedicated Hate Crime Unit
✅Expanding Mental Health Response capacity
✅Cracking down on organized crime and gangs
✅Building stronger partnerships with community agencies
These investments will help us respond faster and more effectively to intimate partner violence, mental health calls, ongoing community concerns, and hate-motivated crimes. #PeelRegion
