An initial look at the Conservative platform costing document makes it clear why they’ve been hiding it. Packed full of shell games, it has wildly unrealistic growth projections and deep healthcare cuts hidden in plain sight. This includes claiming $2 billion in annual savings from cuts to essential services and torquing economic growth assumptions just enough to cover their multi-billion-dollar budget gap.

I really hate having to point this out to those who'd like a Danielle Smith-type premier in British Columbia, but BC now has lower unemployment than Alberta BC now has a higher average wage than Alberta BC has had much higher GDP growth than Alberta since the NDP was elected

Clean energy should be the affordable choice for every family and business in BC, and the Clean Futures Fund, starting with $50 million, builds on the progress we've already made. A share of B.C.’s revenue from new oil and gas development goes directly into projects and initiatives that support climate action while reducing energy costs at home. Full plan: bcndp.ca/environment

I think the crucial point is that @LDoerkson is ok with all this. You can’t both assert that a @Conservative_BC govt would be “normal” and that it is ok for @HeatherMaahs to remain on their ticket. No amount of avoiding the press will make this go away
I wasn't that surprised that Heather believed this when she wrote it in 2021, but I’m genuinely surprised that she's still defending it in 2026.

How many candidates are the @CPC_HQ hiding/protecting? Numbers are growing. Not ready to govern. How many voted to eliminate our Human Rights? Wake up folks.
I'm glad the rest of BC has noticed @HeatherMaahs and her awful views. One thing that's been missed: her blog post supporting a slave auction in a school, and **putting a student in blackface** in school productions of To Kill a Mockingbird. #bcpoli

Vote for @G_Anderson1 is a vote for our kids future. As his teacher I would vote for him so asking folks who live in his riding to reelect this very smart & talented candidate. @cityofnanaimo
Everyone deserves an affordable home. 🏡 In Nanaimo, the BC NDP has delivered 989 affordable homes, 356 mixed affordable and market homes, and 266 student housing beds under construction at VIU. More homes help create stronger communities. #Lantzvile #Nanaimo

The Canadian Armed Forces have confirmed that Private Aidan Goulding of North Vancouver and Private Hayden Lykkemark of Langley have tragically died at CFB Wainwright. In this moment of profound heartbreak, as British Columbians and Canadians, let’s wrap our arms around their families, supporting them and joining in the mourning of this horrible tragedy.
My heart is with the families waiting for news after the tragedy at CFB Wainwright, and with the first responders, doctors and nurses caring for the injured. We’ve offered Alberta all the help British Columbia can give. Please hold our Armed Forces members and their families close today.

We can stop Conservative cuts, higher costs, and chaos. We can #buildBCstrong for all of us. But we can only do it if we stand together. 👇🏽
I’m inviting all progressive voters to join us in this election. If you’ve voted Green in the past, we share a lot of the same values, and there’s too much at stake right now. In 11 seats last time, the Green vote was the difference between a Conservative and a New Democrat. We can stop Conservative cuts and build B.C. strong if we stand together.

Tale of the tape: 9 years of BC NDP government: MSP premiums eliminated, bridge tolls removed, childcare expanded and healthcare investments. 2 years of BC Conservatives: caucus expulsions, floor crossings, leadership turmoil and controversial votes. Two records. You decide.

“I’ve voted Green before, but the risk of a Conservative government is too high. This time, I’m voting BC NDP.” – Melanie McCollum, former Green voter in Courtenay." We risk losing progress and continuing the work on far too many priorities if we do not come together to stop Conservative chaos and cuts. bcndp.ca/releases/eby-invite…

I understand that the BC Conservatives may not have had a lot of time to put this document together, but the fiscal plan comes across as one of the more reckless on offer from any political party in the country in recent years.

Also, betting on the Greens to win enough votes to have any power is a sure way to make sure The conservatives win this election. That is why I am voting for the #BCNDP. #bcpoli
Hey BC - short message: DBS: Don’t Be Stupid A lot of us are disappointed with the NDP. Yes, far from perfect. But this is the wrong time for vengeance. Voting for the Cons is THE WORST THING YOU CAN DO. Akin to cutting your nose off to spite your face. Don’t do it.

On Thursday, Lorne Doerkson promised to get his costing out "before we go to Advance Polls." By the end of today at least 500,000 British Columbians will have voted - with no sign of his costing. His plan has a gap of at least $5 billion. He's trying to hide his health cuts.

Doerkson admits it was hateful for Heather Maahs to call gay people immoral. She's still his candidate. If he won't stand up to extremists in his own party, how can he stand up for you?

These are good family supporting union jobs! Supporting apprentices and contributing to the economy!!! The other side wants to scrap this project … Lorne you are just not ready to lead
200 workers are building a toll-free, eight-lane tunnel right now. The Conservatives want to cancel it and start over: jobs on hold, years of delays, $3 billion in federal funding at risk. While Lorne Doerkson wants to risk it all, @Dave_Eby and the BC NDP are choosing to build B.C. strong.
