WT hit a point every season where they fall off dramatically physically, resulting in eye-watering scores against, an increase in mental fatigue errors, sin bins and penalties. Hope I’m wrong but yesterday was the red flashing light we see at the same stage every single year

Great to see Jeral likely staying in the NRL and returning to the Dogs. Think people really overrate the depth in the comp at the moment. Fringe/back ups have deficiencies - which is why they are fringe/back ups in the first place.

Followed NSW and QLD Cup for a very long time and think they’re currently the worst standard they’ve ever been.

- Samuela Fainu is set to sign a two year extension at WT, rejecting the chance to hit free agency. The extension will be worth $1.6 million, less than he would’ve commanded on the open market, amid interest from at least three rival clubs (Telegraph)

Latu off with a shoulder issue following contact from KPP. Gutting for Latu. Had been huge defensively to start the game. Kid just can’t win.

Looking forward to seeing KPP back on the field tonight. As good as any WT player on both sides of the ball before his pec injury. KPP + Nsemba vs Haumole + Wong is some 2RF match up.

By the squad named, seems like Latu will end up falling into same role he has done at WT due to lack of other options at hooker for Tonga. He’s a long way ahead of Tui at this point as a half, but only one of them ‘can’ play 9. Same trap at WT where he lost out due to 9 depth.

“It’s a younger squad, and I need to earn the respect once I get there. I’m not going to walk in and expect people to listen to me or follow what I do. I need to lead by example, and that needs to be earned through the pre-season.” smh.com.au/sport/nrl/what-ha…

Could be a huge for few weeks for Latu and his career with a bit of luck injury wise. Hopefully club hasn’t sat on its hands re contract. Playing with some serious strike on the edges and a big, experienced middle. Combo w/Lehi from Manly jnrs + should work well with Izzy Katoa
