Let’s go! Technical problems to solve, but they are *solvable*
NASA Admin @SenBillNelson, at Apollo 17's 50th anniversary at the Nat'l Academies, laid out plans for NASA's next Great Observatory: "Habitable Worlds Observatory" will study Earth-sized planets around Sun-like stars, plus transformative astrophysics and planetary science!♥️🚀🔭
Amazing! The latest from #JWST, a star-forming region in one of our neighbor galaxies
Full detail from webbtelescope.org/contents/n…
It was great to share @SpaceTelescope Science Institute with them
This week we've had the pleasure of hosting Bill Henry, Comptroller of Baltimore City, and Maryland representative @LeaderHoyer at the Space Telescope Science Institute, the home of the #NASAWebb Mission Operations Center.
So great to have data available about all different topics
Not all JWST-based papers are about fuzzy drop-outs. Here's one that features the power of #Webb spectroscopy to explore feedback by a radio jet deep within the centre of the Seyfert galaxy, NGC 7319.

Great to see you there!
This is the place to get the #JWST images and other results when the first science comes out on July 12: webbtelescope.org
Three instrument of #JWST fully commissioned. One more mode (of 17) to complete 4 instruments. All that and first science coming on July 12
Can’t wait for the first science on July 12! This is an awesome observatory
Space Telescope Science Institute Director Ken Sembach and Deputy Director Nancy Levenson listening to NASA administrators at #NASAWebb Media Day.
See you there, and at the @stsci town hall on Tuesday afternoon!
Visit STScI’s booth at #AAS240 to learn about Hubble, #NASAWebb and #NASARoman, ask questions about analyzing and retrieving data in @MAST_News, and how to apply for grants. Stick around for demos from @MAST_News and #NASAWebb!
Deep dive to explain the Webb telescope selfie. Spoiler: it's not a separate front-facing camera #UnfoldTheUniverse
How was #NASAWebb able to take a selfie? And which instrument took such a stunning image? Joe DePasquale, senior science visuals developer at the Space Telescope Science Institute, digs in: fal.cn/3mPqb #UnfoldTheUniverse
Can’t wait!
We’re about to get started — GET IN YOUR SEATS!
We’ve got @nalevenson @askastroalex and @AtaSarajedini with us to talk alllll about #JWST, the goals, the technology, and any questions you have! Tune in and join us, nerds 💖! 🌌🔭🚀
This is fantastic! Light from the universe, passed through the telescope, recorded on the instrument detector, and now on Earth to analyze. We have many steps to go, but a great milestone already #unfoldtheuniverse #JWST

@NASA came to the PoB! The transport unit that was used take the @ESA_Webb to its launch site in French Guiana before it blasted into space is on its way back to @NASAGoddard after arriving at Dundalk Terminal onboard the MN Colibri. @pachesapeake handled. Teamwork! #Open4BizMD
Woo hoo! #UnfoldTheUniverse
#JWST sunshield fully tensioned! All five layers. Congratulations to the team that got us to this important milestone. #UnfoldTheUniverse
Visualization of current status, based on telemetry coming from Webb. 5 separate sunshield layers. Future major steps will deploy the primary and secondary mirrors.
