1970年代、少女漫画は飛躍的な進化を遂げました。
その中心にいた三人の創作の軌跡を、デビュー初期から現在に至るまでの作品でたどります。
美しいカラーイラストや心に刻まれる名場面の原画、
さらに貴重な資料の数々を通して、その奥深い表現世界に迫ります。
なお、本展は国立の美術館で開催される初の大規模な少女漫画展です。

Moto Hagio, Ryoko Yamagishi, and Waki Yamato
Three legends of shojo manga come together in one exhibition! ✨
Debuting as manga artists in the late 1960s, they went on to be central figures in the 1970s “golden age of shojo manga,” when the genre greatly expanded its creative possibilities. They have continued to publish actively up to the present day, making them witnesses to a historic era of artistic diversity and innovation.
This exhibition retraces their creative paths through original drawings from their best-known works and valuable archival materials, while also exploring their respective careers and sources of inspiration.
Notably, this is the first large-scale exhibition on shojo manga to be held at a national art museum in Japan.
