For only one billion I promise to devote my life to curing cancer.
The war will cost 155 billion euros next year. And we need at least 70 billion euros more from you – for defense, for weapons, and for our resilience. This is a realistic amount. And I ask you to find this support. It will help us hold Russia back. There are some very simple facts. We stop most Russian assaults on the front line thanks to drones. We cut Russian supply lines with these technologies. And our drones are helping to weaken Russia’s economy. Right now, we could produce two or three times more drones – depending on the type. But we simply don’t have enough money for that. It’s true. Just imagine if we could put two or three times more pressure on Russia than we do today. From an address to the participants of the European Council meeting. (4/5)

By the way, dear Scott, could you please ask our Swiss Ambassador in Belgium, the exquisite Jacques Pitteloud, why he has absolutely no time to issue a diplomatic passport to our highly valued retired colonel who devoted his life to the defense of our beloved 🇨🇭?

Researcher @curryja was once a “rock star” in the climate change movement. Then she discovered that some scientists conspire to hide data. “A lot of really ugly things,” she tells me. She reveals the “manufactured consensus” about climate change:

#Ukraine #Doppelmoral

A gallon of jet fuel contains about 34 kWh of energy and weighs about 6 lb. Whereas a lithium-ion battery storing the same energy weighs about 250 lb. That density gap defines modern systems. Aviation runs on jet fuel, shipping runs on bunker fuel, agriculture runs on diesel. Nobody wages war over solar panels and turbines. Liquid fuels deliver high energy in compact form, batteries do not. This is simple physics, not "climate denial."

After years of pushing wind and solar, BlackRock's Larry Fink now admits forcing economies onto intermittent power was a mistake. We need dispatchable power, he says, or risk energy shortages." That admission comes after grids have already been weakened though, after bills have already surged, and after energy security has long been eroded. Then there's Bill Gates. In 2019, Gates said he had divested from fossil fuels, but his filings show otherwise. In 2024, the Gates Foundation Trust held hundreds of millions of dollars in fossil fuel companies, its largest exposure in years. Today, the companies backed by Gates emit more CO2 annually than Russia, Japan and Germany combined. Like Fink, Gates has conceded that reliable energy is indispensable, and that he no longer considers global warming an existential threat. The timing of this backtracking isn't a coincidence. It comes as the elites envision a new golden control method: artificial intelligence. AI data centers require enormous energy inputs that intermittent renewables simply cannot provide. Wind and solar were imposed on economies, but they are not good enough for AI data centers. When elite infrastructure is at stake, dispatchable power suddenly matters. Climate change has served its purpose though: increased control and a massive wealth transfer. Now comes the next power play.

I’ve spent many weeks doing fieldwork in Tibet, sitting above these enormous, deeply incised Himalayan river systems and seeing firsthand just how geologically active this landscape is. So spare me the climate-change grift every time a natural disaster strikes. Catastrophic glacial outburst floods are not new. The 1981 Zhangzangbo GLOF released ~20 million m³ of water and debris into Nepal, with estimated peak discharge approaching 16,000 m³/s. The Himalayas experienced enormous GLOFs long before today's atmospheric CO₂ concentrations. If it happened naturally in the past, we should expect it to happen naturally again in the future—regardless of atmospheric CO₂. Turning a horrific loss of life into an immediate climate-change narrative without demonstrating that CO₂ caused this particular event isn't attribution. It's opportunism. And the people exploiting tragedy to do it are grifters.

Trans-identified male Petra De Sutter (Paul), who has been the Deputy Prime Minister of Belgium since 2020, and was formerly a member of the European Parliament, gave a TEDx talk in Brussels in 2018 praising Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World" as a vision of a future to aspire to. In the talk, titled "Tele-Babies," De Sutter, a former gynecologist, praises gene-editing as a moral imperative and quotes Julian Savulescu, who has co-authored an academic paper on "why eugenic selection is preferable to enhancement." "In the world of Aldous Huxley, procreation is not something that is connected with sexuality or with relationship or family-building anymore. You just go to a clinic or a factory, if you wish, and you give your gametes. After so many months, you can pick up your child, which has been genetically enhanced and designed according to the features that you want." De Sutter has previously been accused of a conflict of interest when campaigning to alter laws to permit the surrogacy industry in Europe. He has openly profited from surrogacy practices in the hospital where he worked as a gynecologist, University Hospital of Ghent, and co-developed a surrogacy clinic in India called Seeds of Innocence. pace.coe.int/en/news/6355/pa… assembly.coe.int/nw/xml/XRef… ohchr.org/en/special-procedu… sistersofeurope.com/women-ar… timesofindia.indiatimes.com/… thejakartapost.com/news/2020… architecture.live/seeds-of-i…

The United States Mission to Belgium condemns, in the strongest terms, Ghent University’s retaliation against an American scholar following his accurate whistleblower reporting on academic fraud. The United States government regularly funds and supports research, academic exchanges, and other engagements with overseas universities. Dishonest, corrupt institutions that engage in, or reward, scapegoating mob behavior are not desirable partners for us. This is particularly true where the purpose and effect of the scapegoating is to punish accurate journalism unearthing academic dishonesty. We are therefore reviewing any relationships we have with Ghent University. Bad-faith idealogues will try to make this a referendum on the content of Cofnas’s scholarship – or polemical distortions of it. That’s wrong. Free speech means that controversial views are protected. And Cofnas’s views were known to Ghent University when he was hired. The ultimate purpose of freedom of speech is to overturn lies, fraud, and false ideologies. This is precisely what Cofnas was doing, and precisely the reason his home institution wants to silence him. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
