As a kid growing up in Northern Ireland, I dreamed of winning all four majors. Being able to bring these trophies home was truly surreal.

Kingdom Come Deliverance II localization dev says he was fired and replaced with AI.
"Yesterday, with no forewarning, I was invited to a meeting and promptly told that, in an effort to "make the company more effective" and "save finances" [...] my position at the company would become "obsolete" in favour of using AI for all translations going forward.
All I want is for people to be more informed about what's going on it the games industry behind closed doors."
Warhorse Studios is a studio that's known for their writing, insane that they would fire their translator in favor of AI slop translations.

starfleet academy was paramount's best opportunity to get the new generations interested in star trek and they completely fumbled bc their company's pockets didn't overflow on the first day it aired

What’s crazy is this show captured the spirit of Star Trek more than any other of the new series. It was the first one to be legitimately hopeful for the future.
EXCLUSIVE: “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy” will end with its upcoming second season.
The show failed to find a significant audience, not ranking on Nielsen’s Top 10 streaming viewership charts at any point during its 10-episode first season.

Such disappointing news. This was without a doubt one of the strongest first seasons of a Star Trek show, a great jumping-on point for new fans, and it absolutely had the legs to run for a good five seasons, but that kind of longevity is gold dust in the streaming era.
🚨BREAKING - Academy CANCELLED
Sadly #StarfleetAcademy's next season will be its last, with the series now officially announced as cancelled at Paramount+ with Season 2's release date TBA.
