Knowing I would be alive for the 250th birthday of the United States has long excited the patriot and historian in me. Donald Trump has stolen the excitement and joy from an event that should have united Americans in celebration.

BREAKING: Trump SHOCKS Catholics with a deranged Sunday night attack on Pope Leo, calling him "WEAK," claiming credit for him becoming pope, and accusing him of "hurting the Catholic Church" in a lengthy blasphemous rant. These sound like the words of the literal Antichrist... "Pope Leo is WEAK on Crime, and terrible for Foreign Policy. He talks about 'fear' of the Trump Administration, but doesn’t mention the FEAR that the Catholic Church, and all other Christian Organizations, had during COVID when they were arresting priests, ministers, and everybody else, for holding Church Services, even when going outside, and being ten and even twenty feet apart," Trump wrote on Truth Social. Up until now, Trump has avoided insulting Leo directly despite the pope's vocal criticisms of his Iran War and his brutal treatment of migrants. Over the weekend, Leo again slammed the war and blamed it on a "delusion of omnipotence" while calling for an immediate end to the conflict. Clearly, this time his message struck a nerve. "I like his brother Louis much better than I like him, because Louis is all MAGA," Trump continued. "He gets it, and Leo doesn’t! I don’t want a Pope who thinks it’s OK for Iran to have a Nuclear Weapon. I don’t want a Pope who thinks it’s terrible that America attacked Venezuela, a Country that was sending massive amounts of Drugs into the United States and, even worse, emptying their prisons, including murderers, drug dealers, and killers, into our Country." Trump's own intelligence agencies have admitted that Iran was not pursuing nuclear weapons, just like those same agencies have stated that Venezuela was not trafficking large amounts of drugs into the United States. As usual, he's lying. "And I don’t want a Pope who criticizes the President of the United States because I’m doing exactly what I was elected, IN A LANDSLIDE, to do, setting Record Low Numbers in Crime, and creating the Greatest Stock Market in History," Trump continued. For the record, it doesn't matter what kind of pope Trump "wants." He's not Catholic and clearly doesn't believe in God at all. His opinion on the papacy is about as relevant as Satan's. "Leo should be thankful because, as everyone knows, he was a shocking surprise," Trump went on. "He wasn’t on any list to be Pope, and was only put there by the Church because he was an American, and they thought that would be the best way to deal with President Donald J. Trump. If I wasn’t in the White House, Leo wouldn’t be in the Vatican." Not that it matters to Trump — who clearly doesn't give a damn about offending Catholics — but the Church has never and will never revolve around him. It's a 2000-year-old institution, older than MAGA, older than the United States itself. Popes are chosen to shepherd the faithful towards Jesus Christ, not to pander to American presidents. Not only that, but Catholics believe that the Holy Spirit helps guide the papal election through the College of Cardinals. In his hubris and rage, Trump is spitting on ancient, sacred beliefs. "Unfortunately, Leo’s Weak on Crime, Weak on Nuclear Weapons, does not sit well with me, nor does the fact that he meets with Obama Sympathizers like David Axelrod, a LOSER from the Left, who is one of those who wanted churchgoers and clerics to be arrested," Trump wrote. "Leo should get his act together as Pope, use Common Sense, stop catering to the Radical Left, and focus on being a Great Pope, not a Politician. It’s hurting him very badly and, more importantly, it’s hurting the Catholic Church! President DONALD J. TRUMP" the president concluded. Ironically, Trump is the one filtering these issues through a political lens. Leo is not being a politician. He's being a Christian. True followers of Jesus — not the bloodthirsty Evangelicals who make up the MAGA base — are profoundly anti-war. If Leo were being "political" he wouldn't be speaking out so forcefully on these moral issues. He's defending migrants and innocent people being torn apart by American bombs because it's the right thing to do, even if it means incurring the rage of Republicans. As for Trump's claim that Leo is hurting the Church, in reality it's flourishing under his leadership. This past Easter, Catholic parishes saw a massive influx of new converts. The average diocese reported a 38% increase compared to last year. In some places those numbers were even more dramatic. The Archdiocese of Los Angeles saw a 139% increase. Perhaps that's why Trump is so angry at Leo. As the MAGA movement implodes under the weight of an unpopular war launched on Israel's behalf and a worsening Epstein scandal, the Catholic Church under this new pope is blossoming into an era of spiritual rebirth. Please ❤️ and share if you stand with Pope Leo!

MESSAGE I wholeheartedly endorse the powerful appeal for peace made by the Holy Father, Pope Leo, during his Palm Sunday Mass. His call for the laying down of arms and the renunciation of violence resonated profoundly with me, as it speaks to the very essence of what all major religions teach. Indeed, whether we look to Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism, Judaism or any of the world's great spiritual traditions, the message is fundamentally the same: love, compassion, tolerance, and self-discipline. Violence finds no true home in any of these teachings. History has shown us time and again that violence only begets more violence and is never a lasting foundation for peace. An enduring resolution to conflict, including the ones we see in the Middle East or between Russia and Ukraine, must be rooted in dialogue, diplomacy and mutual respect — approached with the understanding that, at the deepest level, we are all brothers and sisters. I urge for and pray that the violence and conflicts may soon come to an end. DALAI LAMA 31 March 2026

Alex Jeffrey Pretti was an ICU nurse at a VA hospital. His life, through his profession, was dedicated to serving his community and our country. As so many have now seen on video, his final act before he was killed by federal agents was doing everything in his power to protect his community. Alex and tens of thousands of Minnesotans have boldly defended their neighbors against the murderous occupation of an American city by the federal government. I am enraged and heartbroken for Alex, his family, Minneapolis, and America.

The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.

And just like that, the ‘No New Wars’ people are all-in on a new war. Proving yet again that they really believe in nothing other than what one man tells them to believe today. Which could be different tomorrow. The very definition of a cult.

It's all a grift. That's all the presidency is to Trump, a means to an end. It is the ultimate grift to pocket billions of dollars for himself and his crime family. Everyone in the free world knows what he's doing except the dumbest motherfuckers on the planet, Trump supporters.

I don’t really do endorsements. I’m not shy about sharing my views, but I hate politics and don’t trust most politicians. I also understand that people want to hear from me because I am not just a celebrity, I am a former Republican Governor. My time as Governor taught me to love policy and ignore politics. I’m proud of the work I did to help clean up our air, create jobs, balance the budget, make the biggest infrastructure investment in state history, and take power from the politicians and give it back to the people when it comes to our redistricting process and our primaries in California. That’s policy. It requires working with the other side, not insulting them to win your next election, and I know it isn’t sexy to most people, but I love it when I can help make people’s lives better with policies, like I still do through my institute at USC, where we fight for clean air and stripping the power from the politicians who rig the system against the people. Let me be honest with you: I don’t like either party right now. My Republicans have forgotten the beauty of the free market, driven up deficits, and rejected election results. Democrats aren’t any better at dealing with deficits, and I worry about their local policies hurting our cities with increased crime. It is probably not a surprise that I hate politics more than ever, which, if you are a normal person who isn’t addicted to this crap, you probably understand. I want to tune out. But I can’t. Because rejecting the results of an election is as un-American as it gets. To someone like me who talks to people all over the world and still knows America is the shining city on a hill, calling America is a trash can for the world is so unpatriotic, it makes me furious. And I will always be an American before I am a Republican. That’s why, this week, I am voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. I’m sharing it with all of you because I think there are a lot of you who feel like I do. You don’t recognize our country. And you are right to be furious. For decades, we’ve talked about the national debt. For decades, we’ve talked about comprehensive immigration reform that secures the border while fixing our broken immigration system. And Washington does nothing. The problems just keep rolling, and we all keep getting angrier, because the only people that benefit from problems aren’t you, the people. The only people that benefit from this crap are the politicians who prefer having talking points to win elections to the public service that will make Americans’ lives better. It is a just game to them. But it is life for my fellow Americans. We should be pissed! But a candidate who won’t respect your vote unless it is for him, a candidate who will send his followers to storm the Capitol while he watches with a Diet Coke, a candidate who has shown no ability to work to pass any policy besides a tax cut that helped his donors and other rich people like me but helped no one else else, a candidate who thinks Americans who disagree with him are the bigger enemies than China, Russia, or North Korea - that won’t solve our problems. It will just be four more years of bullshit with no results that makes us angrier and angrier, more divided, and more hateful. We need to close the door on this chapter of American history, and I know that former President Trump won’t do that. He will divide, he will insult, he will find new ways to be more un-American than he already has been, and we, the people, will get nothing but more anger. That’s enough reason for me to share my vote with all of you. I want to move forward as a country, and even though I have plenty of disagreements with their platform, I think the only way to do that is with Harris and Walz. Vote this week. Turn the page and put this junk behind us. And even if you disagree with me, vote, because that’s what we do as Americans. vote.org
