Test kits and masks delivered to my home USPS priority mail please and then weโ€™ll talk about the $40K weโ€™re all still due and need.
Iโ€™m proposing $2,000 monthly payments throughout the pandemic and for 3 months after, because rent and bills are still due during this crisis and people are going hungry. Itโ€™s that basic.

We are blessed to have him. In such iconic fine form too - it would be enough for him to just be alive. He is so much more than that. Incredible - as you just said.

I got to this record backwards, as my first reckoning with Hendrix was via Band Of Gypsies. Post Machine Gun I became obsessed. My next stop was Are You Experienced. The album & its title song Changed My Life Forever. Astonishing. Surreal. Imaginative. Unbounded by convention. ๐Ÿ’œ
On August 23, 1967, The Jimi Hendrix Experience's debut album ARE YOU EXPERIENCED was released in North America and is widely regarded as one of the single most influential debut albums of all time. With hit songs like "Purple Haze," "Hey Joe," and "Foxey Lady," ARE YOU EXPERIENCED defined what a music experience really meant. #JimiHendrix #Hendrix #Jimi #AreYouExperienced #debut #album #OTD

Our collective story says the bus isnโ€™t going off a cliff, even though it is. It says our drivers are geniuses, even though theyโ€™re mostly murdering white supremacist frauds. We desperately need to replace this incoherent story. But how? the-reframe.com/story-of-me/

โ€œThere simply is no Jazz without Mr Armstrong..โ€ No Rock & Roll either. The truth is just that stark.
Today would have been Louis Armstrong's birthday. There simply is no jazz without Mr. Armstrong.... I was scheduled to record with him shortly after this photo was taken. Sadly, he died before it could happen.

The interplay between Marvinโ€™s voice & Jamesโ€™ bass so beautifully dynamic & playful.
Seeing James Jamerson playing bass behind Marvin Gaye performing โ€œWhatโ€™s Going Onโ€ is one of those rare moments of music history captured on film.

Prince should have done a power trio with Chaka on drums & Larry Graham on bass.
While primarily known as a singer, Chaka Khan is also an expert drummer, who regularly stepped behind the kit to supply percussion during live sessions with her band Rufus, solos at concerts, and on TV. A few videos of the Queen of Funk in action.

Tearing down the original curved brick facade of Electric Lady Studios was an absolute architectural crime. Renaming 8th Street to Jimi Hendrix way is beautiful thing to happen in the wake of that absolute aesthetic travesty. Jimiโ€™s original vision should have been landmarked.
On June 10, the city of New York celebrated Jimi Hendrix's enduring legacy by co-naming West 8th Street as "Jimi Hendrix Way." This milestone is a testament to years of dedication from family, friends, fans, and community members determined to honor Hendrix's legacy. Together, they ensured that his story remains woven into the fabric of Greenwich Village. "A street sign may seem like a simple thing, but streets tell stories," explains Janie Hendrix. "They remind us who came before us and whose contributions helped shape our communities. From this day forward, every person who walks past this corner will be reminded of a young musician who dared to imagine something different and, through talent, perseverance, and creativity, changed the world." #jimihendrix #jimihendrixway #newyork #greenwichvillage

What happened to us was damaging - but also what we witnessed happening to other children. Shame is communicable. Seeing someone being abused with no possible recourse is a secondary trauma that can fester in a way thatโ€™s difficult to comprehend or communicate.
Replying to @Passizle @vurnt22
That was egregious, but it takes so little to create a permanent impact of shame like that. A teacher's lack of impulse control in a moment can be a lifelong memory for a child. I had a moment in kindergarten that has stuck with me like that.

What we went through wasnโ€™t right. Mind you, I didnโ€™t see sexual abuse re the all too familiar 2K scandals, but what I did experience was deeply disturbing. Excessive corporal punishment was a norm in the Catholic system. I couldnโ€™t WAIT to go to public high school
Replying to @MVZaGoGo @vurnt22
I was terrified all 8 years. The things we witnessed would never be allowed today. If it wasnโ€™t physical violence, it was humiliation.
