So it’s official: Reuters has confirmed that the White House gave the order to disrupt Starlink so Russia could attack Kyiv with no advanced warning. The US aided and abetted Putin’s killing of numerous civilians in Ukraine. Trump’s a traitor, a Russian asset who is using US military technology to help our enemy.

Something wicked this way comes.
For the third year running, Kew Gardens is inviting visitors into the dark this Halloween.
Expect fire performers, neon cobwebs and surprises lurking around every corner.
Until 1 November, if you dare.

Oh, so this is what happened. Argentina has toxic beef that it can't sell. Someone made a call to Trump, offered to cut him in on the action, suddenly 660 million pounds of inedible meat-like substance is about to flood the U.S. market. Just follow the money, it tells the story.

Londoners should not be forced to pay the price for Thames Water's failures.
They deserve accountability, not higher bills. Unacceptable.

These trophy hunters are psychopaths, no doubt about it. And even try to say it’s a conservation situation , because that is a lie, that is just an excuse for the killing.
Psychopaths- every single one of them.
.@RickyGervais has spent most of his life protecting and supporting all kinds of animals around the world. He's donated millions.
So when he saw a hunting photo of a woman beside a dead Giraffe he lost it.
“What must have happened to you in your life, he asked, to make you kill a beautiful animal and then lie next to it smiling.”
"Trophy hunting is one of the most pathetic and indefensible things human beings do. These animals aren't trophies. They aren't wall decorations. They aren't status symbols. They're living, feeling creatures with families, social bonds and a right to exist free from cruelty and exploitation."
The photo went everywhere within hours and his followers joined in. The hunter says she received hundreds of thousands of death threats afterwards, and that she has no regrets about the kill.

This is bonkers.
Ground beef in an American supermarket is now legally allowed to be part mushroom, and you will not find that on the front of the pack.
The blend is roughly seventy beef, thirty fungus. Some versions run pea protein instead, or alongside. The mushroom is chopped fine, hydrated, and mixed through the trim until the texture and the colour match, and it matches well, because that is the entire engineering problem and it was solved years ago. It goes in the same tray. It sits in the same case. It carries a leaf and a word like blended, and blended is doing a great deal of work.
Ground beef passed six dollars a pound in June for the first time on record. Beef and veal are forecast up 10.7 percent this year. The US cattle herd is at its lowest level in over seventy years and nobody expects relief before 2028. Ground beef is close to 48 percent of all the beef Americans eat.
So the chains had two options. Charge what the beef costs and watch the shopper reach for chicken. Or cut it with something that costs a fraction of it, hold the shelf price, and keep the item in the basket.
They went into the grinder because the grinder is the one place the eye cannot audit. A ribeye declares itself. Grain, marbling, fat cap, all of it visible, and nobody has ever tried to put a mushroom in one because you would find it in a second. Grind the same animal and the evidence disappears. Every food fraud in the record has gone the same route: the sausage, the pie, the patty, the ready meal. Horse turned up in mince and lasagne in 2013 and never once in a joint.
The cruelty of the timing is that American ground beef should be the best it has been in fifty years. Cattle are being fed to record weights, an average of 1,475 pounds live in March, because heavier animals are the only way to hold production up with fewer head. Heavier cattle carry more fat. More fat means richer trim going into the grinder.
The product was improving at the exact moment they started diluting it.
And swap out that thirty percent and look at what leaves. Thirty percent less B12, less heme iron, less zinc, less complete protein, replaced by water bound into fungal fibre. You are buying the same weight and taking home less food.
The blend was designed when beef was cheap and it was sold then as a choice for the planet. It is landing now because beef is dear, and not one word on the front of the pack has changed. The justification moved with the price, which tells you what the justification was.
Ground beef was the last part of the animal a family could still afford whole.
That is exactly why it went first.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
USDA regulations define ground beef as consisting only of chopped beef (fresh or frozen), with or without seasoning, and prohibit extenders like mushrooms (9 CFR 319.15). Blended products containing mushrooms cannot be labeled simply as "ground beef." ecfr.gov/current/title-… fsis.usda.gov/food-safety/sa…
