Some interesting things from the 1977 NBA Finals:
1. Freshen Up Gum had a commercial with the tagline "love that squirt"
2 & 3. Lionel Hollins had the longest made shot of the series which was around a 25 footer. He also took a half court shot with 9 seconds left on the clock which resulted in Caldwell Jones getting a shooting foul on the other end
4. Larry Steele splayed his legs out to foul bait
5. Bill Walton was given a technical foul for hanging on the rim for 0.7 seconds
6. Maurice Lucas and Darryl Dawkins squared up in the middle of the court in Game 2
7. they called World B. Free outside jumpshots ICBM shots
8. Bill Walton was shown on the bench frequently with his shoes off getting treatment on his lower body, foreshadowing his future injury problems
9. The broadcast was awful. Probably 10 made shots were not shown on the broadcast cause they had cut away to a replay and they had a bunch of experimental camera angles that were not doing it for me
