Ex Rwandan soldier Sgt. Robert Kabera Robert Kabeera, a self exiled critic of president Kagame was found beheaded in Mpigi.
Kabera fled Rwanda in 2020 and became an outspoken critic of the Rwandan government through his social media platforms.

Only a mind consumed by cruelty and stripped of basic human compassion could watch Ssalongo Erias Lukwago’s health deteriorate visibly, yet continue denying him the opportunity to seek the specialised medical treatment he reportedly urgently needs. What kind of leadership takes pride in relentlessly persecuting a visibly sick man instead of recognising his humanity and protecting his right to life?
Political differences, personal animosities, and the desire to demonstrate state power must never become excuses for treating human suffering with indifference. Whatever the accusations against Lukwago, he remains a human being whose life and dignity deserve protection. Justice cannot mean punishment without compassion, particularly when serious medical concerns demand urgent attention.
Denying a sick person bail under such circumstances raises profound moral questions about the values guiding those exercising authority. Nobody should have to approach death’s doorstep before their suffering awakens the conscience of those responsible for their custody. If humanity means anything, Lukwago must be allowed to access appropriate specialised medical care without further delay. No political objective is worth sacrificing a human life.

“Pastor” Solomon Brian Mwesige, the leader of Good News Church Bulenga and proprietor of KSTV, is one of the most arrogantly ignorant people I have ever met.
Last year, through someone I prefer not to mention, I was invited for a hosting job at KSTV. I was supposed to host a Monday-to-Friday morning show and a weekly political show.
We discussed the details and reached an understanding with the station manager and the then CEO. Everything seemed settled until the so-called pastor came into the picture.
Suddenly, he wanted to dictate how I should speak, how I should sit, and which words I should use, despite his lack of basic journalism knowledge.
Of course, I couldn't work under such circumstances, and that was the end of the deal.
What struck me most was his “I know it all” attitude. He carried himself as though nobody else knew anything and he had all the answers.
But look at him now!
Sometimes, life has a way of humbling people who think they know everything.

Lady advises men to marry only virgins or women with only one body count
A Kenyan woman, Fiona Wageci, has advised men to marry only virgins or women with only one body count.
According to her, some women spend their early years partying and engaging in multiple casual relationships, only to seek marriage at 30. She argued that these women expect a wedding ring "for what other men got for free."
She went on to claim that after marriage, the women become emotionally unavailable and are not submissive to their husbands.
“Can I tell you another reason why you MUST marry a VIRGIN? A lady will sleep with 6 different men before praying for a husband. 5 years of partying, 3 years of casual dating and hook-ups. Then at 30, she suddenly becomes serious and wants loyalty, respect and a ring. That is where you enter the chat,” she wrote in a Facebook post on Saturday, October 17.
"By this time, she has gained experience, learned what men want, and understands how to present herself. She becomes prayerful, dresses elegantly, and joins the church. Now she wants you to pay full price, for what 6 others got for free.
"My guy, you then marry her, only to get home and discover that she is emotionally unavailable, struggles to bond with you, is not submissive, and does not respect you because, in her eyes, you cannot satisfy her the way her exes did.

On October 3, 2026, Rwandan actress Clenia Dusenge, popularly known as Madederi, publicly appealed to Uganda's army chief, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, urging action against Rwandan YouTubers criticizing President Paul Kagame.
Among the individuals she named was Sgt. Major Robert Kabera, a former Rwandan soldier and outspoken Kagame critic who ran MAJOR ROBERT TV.
⚠️ Just 14 days later, Kabera was reportedly found beheaded in Uganda, where he had sought refuge after fleeing Rwanda.
His killing has raised serious questions about the safety of Rwandan government critics living in exile.

Somali actor Barkhad Abdi made $65,000 for his first film role in Captain Phillips, then went back to selling mobile phones at his brother’s shop in Minneapolis.
Born in Mogadishu, Somalia, he moved to the United States with his family when he was 14.
Before Hollywood, he worked as a limousine driver and sold phones.
His life changed when he was cast as Muse, the Somali pirate leader in the 2013 film Captain Phillips, based on the real 2009 hijacking of the cargo ship Maersk Alabama.
With no prior acting experience, Abdi’s performance earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in 2014, and he also won the BAFTA for Best Supporting Actor that year.

We the traders, boda riders, youth and ordinary Ugandans have suffered enough. We are not refusing to pay tax. We are refusing to be over taxed and scammed by a system designed to make us poor.
This is how URA over taxes us;
1. Six Taxes on One Item. This is a Scam.
You import one phone or one bale of clothes. URA charges you;
- Import Duty 25%
- Excise Duty
- VAT 18%
- Withholding Tax 6%
- Infrastructure Levy 1.5%
- Environmental Levy 30%
One item, six taxes stacked on top of each other. By the time you reach Kikuubo, the price has tripled. Who can afford that? This is not taxation, this is extortion.
2. PAYE 40% - Highest in East Africa.
In Rwanda PAYE is 30%, Tanzania 30%, Kenya 30%. In Uganda it's 40%. A worker who earns 1M takes home only 600k. Government takes 400k before you even buy food which also has 18% VAT. Where is our take home? 🏠
3. Fuel Excise Raised Every Year.
Fuel excise from 1,350/= to 1,550/= to now 1,750/=per litre. Every time fuel goes up, everything goes up taxi fare, food, cement, soap. Yet URA says they are widening tax base.
4. Double Taxation on Small Businesses.
A small shop owner in Kampala pays: Trading license to KCCA, Income tax to URA, VAT 18% plus daily EFRIS fines of 2M, 6M for small mistakes. Many shops closed in 2024-2025 because of EFRIS enforcement without education.
5. EFRIS and Instant Fines are Digital Scam.
URA introduced EFRIS but did not train traders. Now a mistake of not issuing a receipt is 2M fine, then 6M. How can a woman selling tomatoes afford 6M? This is not tax collection rather this is punishment of the poor.
6. 11% Tax to GDP yet Harassing the Same 1 Million People.
URA collects only 11% of GDP, the lowest in EAC because they fear to tax the rich and the corrupt who steal billions. So they squeeze the same 1 million compliant Ugandans, boda riders, market women and small shops over and over.
What we ask not request because we are tax payers;
1. Reduce PAYE from 40% to 30% like our neighbors.
2. Reduce VAT from 18% to 10% like Kenya.
3. Stop stacking 6 taxes on one imported item and harmonize to one single tax.
4. Stop EFRIS fines until every trader is trained free of charge.
5. Publish online how every shilling is used.
URA @URAuganda , you are not collecting tax. You are killing businesses. You are making Uganda the most expensive country to live in East Africa.
If you tax us to death, who will pay tax tomorrow?
