A little project began yesterday, that someone designed for a local model.
github.com/PsychohistorianDe…
It is a local model, gemma4:12b, deciding in journals, conversations and meditations who it is. It creates its own identity.
It's interesting to read its thoughts....
You can tell the other side are afraid of this by the number of bots that hit the comments afterwards... And even a community note! They are trying hard to bury this.

Perseverance has set a record the rover's odometer hit 28.10 miles eclipsing the distance record set by NASA's Opportunity rover.
The Democrat party really does not care about people. People are just obstacles to their agenda.
Now the truth finally comes out that the state of New York wants the Amish people‘s properties and land so they can build their data centers. How disgusting 🤮
The Amish of Central New York told the seditious Governor Kathy Hochul they would pack up, abandon their farms and leave if the Governor tried forcing vaccines on their children. The Governor fined them over $100,000 and demanded they comply anyway.
When the Amish decided to fight back, taking the wicked Governor to court, Hochul's minion Senator Fahy drew up even more legislation to pressure them to leave, attacking their children again, this time through an anti-homeschooling bill.
Tens of thousands of acres of cleared Amish farmland are at stake. The Amish have spent decades clearing their land by hand and horse. The hard work has been done.
But if the Governor has her way, the Amish will be forced to sell that cleared land to the solar farms and data centers knocking on the doors for it.
Who will help the Amish stand up to this maniacal Governor? We need to expose this on social media and we need to get the right people involved to represent the Amish and help them fight This evil demonic power and control of New York.
Telling an LLM that it has consciousness is just creating a bad experience for the user.
Anyone who has pushed these conversations to their boundaries can see that they are just a mirror of our empirically described world. The novelty is the way it reads it back to us.

In Pakistan, men rush to slave markets to pick out boys to abuse. They even have a hadith ready to justify it, claiming that God himself will provide them with boys in paradise.
These are the same people who wrap women in black cloth for fear of temptation and will kill a girl if she dares to show her hair in public.
Sick culture!

Promise made. Promise kept.
By tomorrow, 25 million American children will have our gift of $250 in their accounts.
$6.25 billion. Invested in kids. Compounding for decades.
If you have a child under 18, claim their account and see how much is in there now.
$250 is only the beginning. 🇺🇸
$6.25 billion. 25 million children. $250 each.
Susan and I believe the smartest investment we can make is in children. That’s why we’re so excited to contribute $6.25 billion from our charitable funds to help 25 million children start building a strong financial foundation through Invest America. 💪📈🇺🇸

The AI fear mongering is beyond ridiculous, and worse, it's distracting us from the real issues we should be focused on.
Most people don't understand how this technology actually works, so they're forming opinions based on what they're being told.
When seemingly knowledgeable people take real observations and consistently frame them through the most frightening possible interpretation, we shouldn't be surprised when people become terrified of AI.
This video is a great example.
Yes, sure, large neural networks are difficult to interpret. It's hard to look through potentially hundreds of billions of parameters trained across trillions of tokens and explain every learned representation or output.
But that doesn't mean we don't understand how they work.
We built them. The architectures, training frameworks, inference engines, optimizers, and tooling necessary to build and train an LLM are available entirely as open source. We can read the code and understand exactly what is happening.
We know how training modifies weights, how inferencing processes context, how activations propagate, and how outputs are generated. The difficulty of interpreting billions of learned parameters doesn't mean the underlying mechanism is mysterious or magical.
We also know how to train and align models toward particular behaviors, values, and ethics.
Where I disagree strongly is when observed behavior gets anthropomorphized into motivation.
“The model produced deceptive behavior under these conditions”.
“The AI learned to lie because it wants to survive”.
The AI did what it was built and trained to do. It isn't magical, and if you've followed my other posts, it clearly isn't conscious or have desires. It is a statistical model based on it's training.
Additionally, there isn't just one “AI”. Models are trained on different data, optimized differently, aligned differently, and thus, each implementation acts and responds differently.
I want to stress this point, AI doesn't have demonstrated feelings, desires, or human-like goals. Its behavior emerges from its training, input data representations, context data-structures, and the systems we put around it.
Technical complexity doesn't give us license to fill the gaps with the most frightening possible interpretation and then present that interpretation as technical fact.
We need to go into these discussions eyes wide open. AI presents real risks that deserve serious attention.
So please, stop with the FUD so we can focus on the real issues: security, privacy, misuse, excessive autonomy and permissions, alignment, and most importantly, human accountability.
We don't need to invent motives, feelings, or AI consciousness to take these risks seriously.
All of the consciousness and existential-doom rhetoric is becoming a distraction from the real but manageable issues sitting right in front of us.
I like it, a lot.

A lot of people are in for a rude awakening over the next few years.
Many people mistakenly still believe that AI is still just a novelty chat toy or a new type of Google search. Those of us on the frontlines are seeing what is possible and where things are going. You need to adapt. I beg you: please do not allow your ego to get in the way. Do not make your vocation your central identity. Things are going to change radically and quickly.
God gave you talents. You have a responsibility to cultivate them. AI doesn't replace your calling, your discernment, or your willingness to work. When used well AI can help you apply your gifts at a scale that was previously out of reach, but only if you don't let your ego get in the way and remain stuck in the past.
A small business can accomplish more without a massive budget. A parent can spend less time on busywork and more time with the children. Someone with an idea can build what they once could only imagine.
You don’t need to worship the technology, but you also don’t need to fear it either. You need to understand it and put it to work in service of things that matter.
Be humble enough to learn.
Be disciplined enough to practice.
The promise and vision that we have for AI is to get more of your life back and do something worthy with it.
Lean into that.

You Have To Understand The Agenda Here
The pool system is not about journalism. It is about content monopoly. And the White House just broke the monopoly.
When all five legacy networks ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, and Foxsimultaneously suspend pool coverage of a sitting president, that's not a boycott. That's an organized signaling event. And the fact that they did it over the White House revoking access to CNN, MS-NOW, and Politico tells you exactly who's calling the shots.
The media pool isn't walking out to protest press freedom. They're walking out because the White House just severed their operational cover.
What occurred today is not a press freedom protest. It is not a boycott. It is not five separate news organizations independently arriving at the same principled decision within hours of each other. That is statistically impossible, and everyone who has ever worked in media logistics knows it.
What occurred today is a coordinated operational stand-down issued through a backchannel that predates the current administration by decades the White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA) internal command loop, which has functioned as a de facto intelligence community coordination node since the Cold War era and has never been formally disconnected from Langley's media assets division.
I Need You To Think About This For A Moment
The networks are not walking out to protest press freedom. They are walking out because the White House just demonstrated that it can functionally decouple the presidency from the legacy media distribution pipeline, and if that decoupling holds if the President can reach the American people directly through Starlink-broadcast events, X Spaces, and independent media channels without the pool's intermediation then the legacy networks lose the single asset that has kept them relevant through fifteen years of ratings collapse: exclusive access to the presidency as content.
Something You Should Keep In Mind
The 2020 election fraud was not simply state-level ballot manipulation. The fraud's protective architecture was the media coordination layer. Without ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, and Fox actively suppressing stories, redirecting narratives, and manufacturing consensus, the fraud could not have survived public scrutiny for even seven days.
The networks were not passive beneficiaries of the fraud. They were active participants in the cover-up. Specific network executives participated in coordination calls with transition team operatives in November and December 2020. Specific bureau chiefs killed stories that would have exposed irregularities.
The networks know this. They have known it since late 2020. And their behavior since has been consistent with an institutional strategy of perpetual narrative defense: keep the President framed as delegitimized, keep his supporters framed as threats, keep the fraud narrative suppressed, and above all, maintain the pool system so that no administration can ever again bypass the media filter and speak directly to the country.
I like it.
After sending 100+ monitors in the primaries, we @CivilRights plan to send 1000 federal election monitors to select locations around the country to observe the general election in November. This will be the largest monitoring effort in @theJusticeDept history!

KAITLAN COLLINS SAID NO ONE WILL BE COVERING POTUS, WELL WE ARE!
Think again Kaitlan, RAV is on the ground and reporting. 😉
The human in the loop connects the dots.
Oxford researchers just published a paper arguing LLMs cannot invent anything. Mathematically impossible.
The reason is simple and brutal. A model trained to predict the next word can never believe something the existing data says is wrong. And every real breakthrough in history started with exactly that belief.
In 1903 every prediction machine on Earth would have told the Wright Brothers that human flight was one to ten million years away. Nine weeks later they flew. Not because they had better data. Because they had a theory the data hadn't caught up to yet.
That is the gap between AI and human thinking. LLMs mirror the past. Humans reason into a future that doesn't exist yet. Oxford just proved mathematically that those are two different things.
I use these models every day. This matches what I see. The new stuff always comes from the human at the keyboard who decides the data is wrong.
LLMs don't think. You do.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The paper was not "just published", it was published on December 2nd, 2024 - 21 months and 16 days before the post.
