Don’t ever waste time on those who don’t understand your competitive spirit. It’s part of who you are. Don’t shut down your inner drive to make others feel better about themselves. That only hurts you. Those who understand it, don’t need an apology. Those who don’t, never will!

The team you’re on is less important than the attitude, effort & energy you bring. Freshman, Sophomore, JV, Varsity, starter, 2nd string, role player, etc. doesn’t define who you are. How you respond to your role, while working for the role you want & helping your team win, DOES!

To be a real leader, you have to lead everyone including your best friends. Calling others out & holding them accountable to & for the team isn’t easy, but it’s worth it. It leads to team achievement. Leaders should have no problem bringing others on the journey to betterment!
