This week's @MusicWeeklies theme was #Crabs What kind of music does a crab need? Well I shuffled sideways along to this so it’ll do I guess. Used the koala sampler app, which is an ace piece of kit.

This week's @musicweeklies theme is #Unplug so I did a quick acoustic guitar ditty for it. Excuse my playing, especially in the second bit, it’s been a while! #musicchallenge #acoustic #guitar

Better late than never… (maybe?!?) Here’s some Dorian-mode-megadrive-funk for this week’s @MusicWeeklies challenge. Didn’t turn out anything like I thought/hoped but it’s all part of the process. #modal #megadrive #deflemask

On the m8 tracker again, making a lil tune with 3(plus) different time signatures for the @musicweeklies #3timesignatures prompt. Mainly 5/4, 3/4, 6/8 and 4/4 used. Fun times adding lord of thunder visuals as it has a 16bit feel imo. #m8tracker #muwee #16bit #lordsofthunder

Made a lil ‘carol’ esque piece on the Roland S1 synth for the @MusicWeeklies challenge. Used the MIDI from the m8 to create the four voice polyphony, just a wee chill track for that in between Christmas n new year period. #carol #rolands1 #m8tracker #muwee

Sorry but the cats & @MusicWeeklies made me do it 😅 #catcafechaos #m8tracker #cats

Quick spooky(ish) ditty on Deflemask Mobile for the muwee prompt ‘When Midnight Rings’ - created on the Megadrive soundchip for fm & pulse wave goodness 🤘 @musicweeklies #whenmidnightrings #deflemask #chiptune #tracker #megadrive #sega

Here’s my entry to last week’s muwee challenge #thenightcrawlers Back to Deflemask Mobile tracker for this one. Created using the sega megadrive soundchip, gotta be my joint favourite alongside the gameboy for chiptunes 🤘 #muwee #chiptune #megadrive #ym2612 @MusicWeeklies

More m8 + s1 jamming for this week’s @musicweeklies challenge. Trying to capture the feeling of #dusk kinda dark, with a bit of pleasant reflection on the day (or something…) #m8tracker #rolands1 #muwee

Did a little jam for the @MusicWeeklies #youchoose challenge. I chose a terrible camera that kept stuttering 🤪 I also chose to play around with the Roland S1 synth plugged into a M8 tracker #synth #tracker #m8tracker #rolands1 #muwee #musicjam

The @musicweeklies this week was #stretch So I tried to learn a new mobile music app - koala. I sampled 2 fave shmup tracks (from Eschatos & Radirgy) & had a blast with all the sample chopping, beat making & fx. #koala #sampler #beatflip #shmup #stg

Last minute super quick sketch on mobile for this weeks @MusicWeeklies challenge which was #spicy Tried to spice up the chord extensions as much as possible… & thats as spicy as it gets 😅 Fun to play on Deflemask mobile again tho #muwee #deflemask #genesis #fm #ym2612 #chiptune

Here’s a wee Hot n Cold track for this week’s @MusicWeeklies challenge. Went for a fiery 1st 1/2 followed by a turn to the icy in the 2nd. Created on Gameboy (emulated) using lsdj for an authentic (emulated) handheld sound 🔥❄️🤘 #muwee #lsdj #chiptune #hotandcold #gameboy

Weekly track for @MusicWeeklies theme, which was: ‘’Create a track using yourself as the only instrument… anything goes’’ #youvegotthemusicinyou I cheated massively by manipulating them using the m8 fx. Stick around for the silly soundz I recorded at the end #m8tracker

Time limits mean at least I’m kinda finishing a track 😅 Here’s a very late entry to the @MusicWeeklies challenge - this week the prompt was ‘Forest Temple’. #muwee #foresttemple #m8tracker

My entry for the @MusicWeeklies #loworbit prompt. A bit of 90s dnb shmup inspiring music, created using the m8 tracker 🤘

Here’s another lil LSDJ ditty for the muwee prompt “Potion Shop” (I actually quite like the bit at 06 - stick around till then if you can). Thanks @musicweeklies for the weekly prompts, they’re a constant source of musical inspiration! #lsdj #chiptune #gameboy #potionshop #muwee

Enjoyed playing about with LSDJ for the last muwee prompt, so here we go again! A little ditty to bop along with on a sunny spring day, the prompt was #springvibe @MusicWeeklies #lsdj #chiptune #gameboy

The muwee theme this week was #brazil So I took what I understood of old school bossa nova & samba rhythms & popped em in a gameboy. Here’s what I came up with @MusicWeeklies #chiptune #lsdj #gameboy #muwee
