We joined a chorus of voices from across the music industry speaking to @guardian today on why #Brexit is so bad for the #MusicIndustry

We did warn them 🤬 several times.
😂 Can we start on Friday? 🤪😂
Fun fact - that envelope contained a letter (@Music4EU) signed by thousands of music industry folks saying Brexit would be a disaster for the Uk music business … 🙄
We were told we were wrong 🙄
Sigh.
We tried.

Thank you @eltonofficial for advocating for artists touring the EU #LetTheMusicMove @OliverDowden @DCMS @CommonsDCMS @FeaturedArtists
Very happy to meet & discuss today with @eltonofficial, who despite #Brexit, is fighting for free movement and visa-free arrangements for artists.
Citizens, artists, students are the first to lose out from #Brexit. It didn’t have to be this way.

I spoke to Blur’s Dave Rowntree and Primal Scream’s Simone Butler about looming crisis for UK bands touring the EU post-Brexit. Visas, red tape, costs… A "cataclysmic disaster” awaits unless action is taken. Industry could be dead in 6 months. @Telegraph

To @BorisJohnson @RishiSunak @pritipatel The UK music industry needs you to address why musicians were left off the list of workers not needing visas to work across EU member countries. Our industry is extremely lucrative for the U.K. Touring is essential. apple.news/ATG30FzPpTuCXOQ0L…

🗣 Some of us have been fighting for this since the vote.
❌ The deal makes no provisions for the UK being a service driven economy and it makes zero anything for touring musicians!
