Shout out to the @comicbookhq team for the invite during NY Comic Con last week.
Travel & logistics were tough, but I'll never turn down an IRL event. too bullish on human to human interaction.
Plus any event with @solanaspaces & @veefriends is a great place for comics, art, & digital collectibles! 🖤
I got to:
-frictionlessly onboard users to their first digital collectibles @MuseInk_
-sell some physicals and their digital twins
-catch up with homies irl like @SpiriTGhouled @Pedromiranda (use next BP26-PEDRO for discounted BP tix) @_CarlosAce_ @benkendrick @TheWitzCarlton & met many new ones!

Still can't believe I was lucky enough that @DegentlemanJohn and the @solanaspaces team thought to include me in this.
I was originally just supposed to help out, but @UssolandDaGod and I ended up being the main representatives for Solana at the event.
The merch was moving so quickly we actually had to slow down putting it out. 😂 People had a ton of questions about Solana, Solana Spaces, and Acacia.
Having spent the last few years building entertainment IP on Solana, we were right in our element. Shilling Solana, Solana Spaces, ComicBook HQ, and Acacia all at once.
One of the coolest parts was seeing how far @comicbookhq has come with using digital collectibles to onboard Web2 audiences. Most people in Web3 still don't fully understand the potential here.
The DC Collection Quests are a perfect example. Through a collaboration between Candy Digital and ComicBook HQ, fans complete digital quests to earn free pulls from a physical DC Comics Machine.
Digital engagement leading to real-world rewards. This is exactly the kind of experience that can bring entirely new audiences into Web3 without making the technology the main attraction.
@MuseInk_ also had a really cool table where Roach was onboarding people through collectible cards and wallets generated using just an email. Making it incredibly easy for people unfamiliar with Web3 to start collecting without dealing with complicated wallet setups.
Huge thanks to the entire ComicBook HQ team for showing us such a great time. Genuinely one of the best crypto events I've attended.

That's when his new life began...
He had no clue that the bad guys would never stop hunting the boy.

So I did the thing!
Comic Con was a amazing. I haven't enjoyed a con this much in years.
As an indie creator & builder, this marks a massive milestone: from signing at empty comic shops, to tabling at small conventions, to building on Solana, to speaking at SDCC!
I'm still processing, but as someone who has been putting the tech & business side at the forefront for so long, it was really inspirational.
Feels like this was a great milestone which will mark an upcoming reset for me, where I can focus on writing and creating a whole lot more.

After ~15 years in comics i’ll be on a panel later today talking about what I've been doing the last 5 years, and where I see the future of digital collectibles going.
SPOILER: Physical books and art will ALWAYS be the premium. But the connection between those physicals and their digital twins is what I'll be talking about.
Physical books and dope artwork you can hold, or hang up on the wall, paired with digital twins that can provide a layer of new experiences & unlocks meant to deepen the connection between creators and their community/fans/readers/supporters.
Not just RWAs that unlock trading on nastalgia (tcgs, graded comics, etc) which have been solved by guys like Collector Crypt, but primary sales of new work published by creators and brands who want to link their exclusive physical books and art to their digital twins.
