Ikemefuna Okeke suffering from chronic delusion & it's @Atiku's fault 4 paying this ex-convict $1.2m as US lobbyist. Or else, how can Von-Batten, who mercilessly beat up his girlfriend for confronting another lover when he hosted both of them, be taken seriously? E no even smart!
UPDATE: The lawsuit against @akandeoj, also known as Pastor Olaolu Akande, Empowered Newswire, and Nigerian Channels Television (@channelstv) is official. Today, the First Amended Complaint was filed in Von Batten v. Sahara Reporters Media Group, Inc., et al., Case No. 1:26-cv-03209, in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
The amended complaint adds Laolu Akande, Empowered Newswire, and Channels Television as defendants in connection with the subsequent publication and broadcast of numerous false statements concerning Dr. Von Batten.
The complaint alleges defamation, libel per se, and defamation by implication. These allegations will now be tested through the United States federal judicial process. The defendants will have their opportunity to respond, and we look forward to addressing these matters in federal court, where facts are established by evidence, not repetition, political connections, or social-media attacks.

On Monday the 20th of July, the Honorable Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, and I commissioned the new e-library at Federal Government College Kano today, and it's a proper upgrade: solar power, air conditioning, modern lighting and almost 80 digital workstations for our students. We inherited 36 abandoned e-library projects across Unity Colleges and 16 have now been completed through UBEC. This is part of what the Renewed Hope Agenda is meant to deliver for education.
We also visited the Bilingual School in Ungogo, now about 90% complete, and teacher recruitment starts immediately so it can open in September. A third bilingual school is planned for later this year and a fourth by June 2027, opening real classroom opportunities for Almajiri and other vulnerable children.
The PPP land swap at FGC Kano remains on track and will fund better classrooms and hostels going forward. I commend the Kano State government for their partnership and commitment. Our job is simple: turn policy into real opportunities for Nigerian children.

Today, I chaired the National Working Committee (NWC) of WorldSkills Nigeria, bringing together the Executive Secretary of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), the Director-General of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), and other key stakeholders.
Our discussions covered a range of strategic priorities. At the top of the agenda was Nigeria's preparations for the WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 Competition. We also deliberated on the establishment of the WorldSkills Academy Abuja, the handover of the WorldSkills Nigeria Secretariat from NBTE to ITF, and plans for the official launch of WorldSkills Nigeria in Abuja.
Every item on that agenda points to the same goal: equipping Nigerian youth to compete and excel on the world stage. The Federal Government remains firmly committed to strengthening TVET, raising the bar for skills excellence, and ensuring Nigeria takes its rightful place in the global skills ecosystem.

You cannot improve what you cannot measure.
That is why we are building one of the largest education data systems in Africa and using it to transform how we plan, manage and improve education across Nigeria. 🇳🇬
During my keynote address at the 2026 DHIS2 Annual Conference in Oslo, Norway, I was proud to spotlight Nigeria’s Digital National Education Management Information System (DNEMIS), a platform built in collaboration with @UNICEF, that is helping us understand exactly what is happening in our schools and make better decisions for learners and schools across the country.
Today, DNEMIS captures data on more than 32 million learners in 204,048 schools across all 36 states, the FCT and 774 Local Government Areas.
This means we can better identify where classrooms, teachers, learning materials and other interventions are needed most, ensuring resources reach the children and communities that need them.
Nigeria now accounts for 32 million of the 45 million education records hosted globally on the DHIS2 platform, making our country the largest education implementation on the platform anywhere in the world.
As we continue to implement the Nigeria Education Sector Renewal Initiative (NESRI), @NesriNigeria, in line with President @officialABAT, GCFR’s vision for education, we are using technology and data to build a more efficient, transparent and accountable education system that delivers better outcomes for every Nigerian child.
The future of education is not guesswork. It is data, evidence and action.

I had the honour of receiving a delegation from the University of Koblenz, Germany, led by Prof. Dr. Harald Von Korflesch, for a courtesy visit focused on expanding entrepreneurship, innovation, and AI opportunities within Nigeria's tertiary education sector.
The delegation brought over three decades of experience in entrepreneurship education, start-up development, and innovation management. What struck me most was their focus on producing job creators, not job seekers, and their readiness to support Nigerian institutions with mentorship, capacity building, and practical tools that help both new and existing businesses grow and thrive.
At the Federal Ministry of Education, we are already implementing reforms to strengthen digital literacy, skills acquisition, and entrepreneurial education across our tertiary institutions.
