About 628,000 tribal households don't have #BroadbandAccess. The @FCC offers a 2.5GHz Rural Tribal Priority Window to improve access, but Tribes have faced obstacles to applying due to #COVID19. The FCC must extend this deadline --> publicknowledge.org/wp-conte… #ConnectTribes

Over 50 million students have been forced into remote learning programs. Newly unemployed Americans and derailed small businesses must apply for benefits and loans online. Senators, why are we still debating whether #broadband is essential infrastructure? wsj.com/articles/u-s-coronav…

Schools and libraries are adapting to this moment, and E-Rate should too. The @FCC should make temporary changes so that E-Rate funds can support the many students who are now learning at home and need hotspots to stay connected.
Millions of students are sent home due to coronavirus. We cannot forget the 12 million students who lack internet access at home. @SenatorBennet, @SenBrianSchatz and I are calling for the FCC to expand the E-Rate program to ensure these students can access the internet at home.

Broadband must be part of the #coronavirus response. At yesterday’s Senate appropriations hearing, I called for a connectivity stimulus to make sure all Americans who need to can work from home, access medical care, and keep their children learning. The @FCC must act now.
