BREAKING NEWS: Romania’s domestic intelligence service (SRI) and the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) attribute last month’s fire at the Carfil factory to an act of sabotage carried out by the Russian Federation.
Carfil Brașov is an arms manufacturing facility. To the best of my knowledge, this is the first case of sabotage publicly attributed to the Russian Federation in Romania.

The Dutch Army has recovered the remains of a German WWII soldier near Venray, along with an MP40, an identification tag and a paratrooper helmet. He may have belonged to Fallschirmjäger Regiment 21, part of Kampfgruppe Walther, which defended the area in October 1944.
