The thing that seems to be getting lost in the holding the ball decision is that the game wasn’t over. The Lions got the next center clearance and kicked another goal. If the Lions can do that then the Hawks absolutely had an opportunity to do the same and win the game.

AFL umpires have copped a lot of shit this year most of it justified however that holding the ball decision was 100% correct. Impey, not only made no attempt to get rid of the ball, he did a really bad impression of pretending he was trying to get rid of the ball.
